Brainstorm Festival Details Announced

On November 21, 22 and 23, 2008 the first edition of the BRAINSTORM FESTIVAL will take place in Club Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.

Sphere Of Souls Return With Revamped Lineup

Progressive metal band Sphere of Souls have revamped their lineup and announced the addition of lead guitarist Alex Rosenhof of Picture of the Moon and drummer Milan Ridderhof, formerly of Daisy Vain. Alex and Milan replace former members Anand Mahangoe and Ruud van Diepen respectively, who left the band in early 2007.

The new Sphere of Souls line-up is currently rehearsing material from the band’s 2006 debut "From the Ashes...," released by Lion Music. Material for a second album is also in the works and the band will resume live work within the next few months.

Picture Of The Moon Release New Song Online

Dutch progressive metal band PICTURE OF THE MOON celebrate their sixth anniversary this month. In September 2001 the band started to form on the grounds of University of Twente, Enschede (The Netherlands). To celebrate this they decided to release an entire song on the web from their newest effort, the EP 'Ageless Day'. The song is titled 'Black Roses' and is the opening track from the EP. 'Ageless Day' was recorded and produced by Joost van den Broek (AFTER FOREVER) in November 2006 in the Excess Studios (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and was released by Dark Balance records in June 2007. The track can be heard on their official website, their MySpace page and their Dutch profile on Hyves.
