Architects Singer Receives Death Threats
Architects frontman Sam Carter has received death threats from irate Bring Me The Horizon fans after uploading a video featuring a staged fight between himself and BMTH vocalist Oli Sykes. The video was filmed at an all-day event in Karlsruhe, Germany and shows Carter "kicking the shit" out of Sykes. The clip - which was uploaded onto YouTube - has been viewed almost 15,000 times.
"We're mates with the guys and were sharing a bus for the whole two week tour!" Carter tells K!. "The fact that people believed it was real is just so ridiculous! We filmed the fight about three times and even added in comedy punch noises and yet kids were still sending us over-the-top hate mail!"
"All-day events can get boring very fast so we conjured up the first idiotic thing we could think of and made it as unbelievable as possible," laughs Sykes. "Sam was getting death threats from kids off MySpace and at the same time getting praised for laying me out! We're sorry if anyone was upset by this although I'm sure most people reading this probably like the thought of me getting a punch in the face!"

Blessed By A Broken Heart Post New Songs Online
Canadian's finest, BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART, are invading Europe in January and early February for their first full European tour with labelmates Maroon as well as UK darlings Bring Me The Horizon and Architects after playing a sold-out UK only headlining tour with Enter Shikari in 2006.
The group's unique, infectious brand of '80s madness is undeniable, and they deliver a plethora of balls-out, party rock anthems that are so catchy and infectious, they will soon be your new guilty pleasure. This Montreal-based six-piece have put the pedal to the metal and will storm over the Atlantic to steal all our booze and women while having the times of their lives.
Their sophomore, appropriately entitled album "Pedal To The Metal" is scheduled for a release in the spring 2008. The effort was recorded by GGGarth (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiss, Motley Crue, Rise Against, Atreyu, Biffy Clyro, Nickelback, Rage Against The Machine, Testament) and mixed by Mike Hatalak from It Dies Today who also worked with Roses are Red and Dead Hearts. Make no mistake, this is fun people making music with only one intention in mind: to have a damn good time. More...
Watch a Video Interview with Bring Me The Horizon
Capital Chaos TV has posted an interview with Britain's BRING ME THE HORIZON conducted on September 4, 2007 in Orangevale, California. Watch it here.
BRING ME THE HORIZON's debut album, "Count Your Blessings", was released in North America on August 14 via Earache Records.
In the seemingly short span of three years since their formation, BRING ME THE HORIZON has "accomplished more in that time than most bands do in 10," according to a press release. "In 2006, BRING ME THE HORIZON was the recipient of a Kerrang! award for 'Best British Newcomer' and held steady on MySpace's top 100 list of most played bands. BRING ME THE HORIZON was only one of two U.K. acts to chart in the MySpace top 100 (the other being COLDPLAY). In addition, they've toured with bands such as BLEEDING THROUGH and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and performed a show-stealing set at the U.K.'s Download Festival." More...
Lacuna Coil Singer Talks Australia
LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia has issued the following update:
"I'm back home now… and take some time to tell you something about my experience in Australia.
"Some of you guys have been there before already and some of you are FROM there… But let me tell you something: if you've never been there, just GO OVER THERE RIGHT NOW.
"It's been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, and I'm serious.
"I don't know where to start 'cause I think the experience of petting a koala and kinda kissing a walabi at the koala sanctuary in Brisbane is been priceless, so liberating. In these moments I felt I had nothing else I could care about, just me and the nature…
"I loved Sydney , tha Taronga zoo, the trip on the boat, the big bridge close the opera house and the huge amount of BIG bats, the Perth shopping area, Melbourne and Adelaide and their cool places.
"But I don't forget YOU guys!!! THANKS to the different crowds who gave us one of the best welcome EVER.
"We were opening the tour 'cause it was our very first time over there, but there was always a lot of people waiting for us, wearing t-shirts and singing all the songs.
"Everyone went literally NUTS watching the duet with me and Dave [Mustaine] for 'A Tout Le Monde' during [MEGADETH's] set (believe me, it's funny to hear 'OH MY GOOOOOOD!!!' when you enter the stage, from the crowd, I LOVED it! Ahaha!).
"Awesome to meet some of you guys, you've been waiting for us for so long, we would have loved to be there earlier! Can't wait to come back again.
"MEGADETH, STATIC-X, DEVILDRIVER and BRING ME THE HORIZON have been a super-cool team to travel, perform, and PARTY with, had a lot of fun and…
"Most of all, thank YOU, MEGADETH, for having us…such a beautiful experience."
Bring Me The Horizon Frontman Talks To Metal Forge
Justin Donnelly of Australia's The Metal Forge recently conducted an interview with BRING ME THE HORIZON vocalist Oliver "Oli" Sykes. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:
On how the group's album, "Count Your Blessings", is doing in America:
"The album's been doing awesome here in the U.S. The reactions have been really positive from the press, so we're pleased with the way things have been going so far on that side of things. As for the tour itself, it's been really cool. Actually, it's been doing amazing. The reactions have been crazy. It's really weird for us in a way, because we didn't quite know what to expect. We read a lot of the messages that some U.S. fans had left us on our MySpace page, and they were always telling us we should get over there to tour. But we really didn't know just how many fans we had over there, or what sort of reaction we would get from people over there. I guess we didn't really expect that we would be as big as what we are now, or get as many kids coming out to see us. We've been playing every night, and we've had people up the front singing the words back to us. It's a really weird situation for us. It's such a positive reaction every night. So everything so far has been really mental.” More...

Assault Charge Against BMTH Singer Dropped
A charge of common assault against BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oli Sykes has been dropped by Britain's crown prosecution service on grounds of not enough evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction.
The 20-year-old singer was charged with common assault on April 8 this year after a 26-year-old woman he met at Rock City, Nottingham, accused him of splashing urine on her dress while she was present on their tour bus.
The band is currently in the USA, tearing up venues, three weeks into a 10-week tour. They are back in the U.K. for their headline tour beginning November 22. 2008 follows up with a European headline tour in January and a six-week USA headline in February and March.
BRING ME THE HORIZON's first-ever promotional video, for the track "Pray for Plagues", can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's debut album, "Count Your Blessings", which was released in North America on August 14 via Earache Records.
