October File Withdraw From Prong Tour
October File have issued the following statement regarding their withdrawal from the European tour in support of Prong:
"Due to illness and with deep regret and disappointment we have had to cancel our participation in the Prong tour. Steve our bassist contracted an ear infection over Christmas, which aggravated what was previously only very mild Tinnitus. Steve sought immediate treatment and advice during the Xmas break and we had hoped it would clear up in time for him to participate in the tour. After rehearsal on Sunday just prior to the tour his condition got much worse to the extend he was in severe pain."
"The doctors have advised him that he cannot until after seeing specialist advice and getting the correct ear protection continue to be exposed to loud noise. We had hoped Steve’s infection would clear up enough so that he could get proper protection fitted in time to do the tour but they cannot fit these plugs for him until his infection has cleared, which unfortunately for him his infection and severe Tinnitus is still on-going."
"We cannot express the disappointment we feel at this time, we were so looking forward to this tour and we know a lot of people were looking forward to seeing us. We can only hope Steve gets well enough to continue and we hope that soon we can announce new dates. We wish Prong the very best for the dates."

October File Release "Holy Armour...", Preview Up
October File finally released their long awaited and, in some quarters, highly anticipated second album. Candlelight Records has issued the following press release:
"A raging assault on the senses from start to finish - with Jaz Coleman from Killing Joke adding his dulcet tones.
Musically, October File deliver an even heavier and more direct approach than the highly rated last EP. Dark, aggressive, angular and downright angry are the closest descriptions.
Lyrically the band have the balls to say what’s on their mind, subjects such as climate change, war, corruption and religion all get the treatment, some more than others. “Religion?” for instance deals with the fact that maybe most religions outlook that we should all have to bow to some imaginary god or get beheaded just really isn’t on… the band also cover murder for amusement, rape, human disappointment and day to day drudgery in equally eloquent terms… songs about girls, having fun and how cool summer is just didn’t make the album…
"Holy Armour From The Jaws Of God" will be released 29th October through Candlelight records. To check out a few tracks, visit the band's official website.
