Javelina Announces US Tour

Philadelphia’s JAVELINA will be embarking on a tour in May in support of their self-titled Translation Loss debut, which is getting rave reviews from the likes of Decibel Magazine, Revolver, Metal Maniacs and countless more.

JAVELINA (pronounced ha-va-lE-na) started crafting their massive sound in October of 2005. Formed by ex-members of Philadelphia bands Lickgoldensky, SMUT and Otophobia/Endless Nightmare they spent over a year honing their sound before playing their first show. JAVELINA’s sound embodies the massive sludgy nature of Buzzoven and Eyehategod with the raw punk intensity of His Hero Is Gone and the straightforward nature of High On Fire all wrapped up into one.

The Dead See Signs to Pluto Records

Experimental metal veterans THE DEAD SEE have signs to Pluto Records. Consisting of Mark Key (guitar/vocals), Josh Paul (drums), Marcos Morales (bass), and Neil Barrett (guitar/vocals), this West Texas band brings sludgy riffs with down-tuned deliverance which bring to mind such bands as Isis, Neurosis, and Mastodon. The band's Pluto debut will arrive on May 22nd, in the form of their new full length album "Through The Veil."

You can hear two new songs from the album at the band's MySpace page.
