Tripp Eisen To Serve One Year Sentence
RollingStone.com is reporting that former STATIC-X and DOPE guitarist Tripp Eisen has pled guilty to having oral sex with a minor and will serve one year in California State prison on that charge.
On June 24 Eisen accepted a plea bargain in California for "having oral sex with a person younger than fourteen years old and more than ten years younger than him," stemming from a February arrest, according to Orange County Superior Court manager Gai Spickard. A date for his incarceration has yet to be set. At the time of his arrest, the guitarist posted $100,000 bail and fled the state — only to be discovered when arrested for another sex-related offense, in New Jersey, just two weeks later.
On October 7, Eisen, born Tod Rex Salvador, will face another series of sex-related charges when arraigned before a trial judge in New Jersey. A local woman claimed that her fourteen-year-old daughter had sex with Eisen, who was posing as his own impersonator, leading to the guitarist's indictment by a grand jury in June on charges of kidnapping, sexual assault, enticing a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.

Ex-Dope Drummer To Drum For Society 1's L.A. Show
Drummer Preston Nash has confirmed he will hit the skins for SOCIETY 1 at their show at LA's Key Club, March 11. Nash, who has sat in on drums with SOCIETY 1 in the past, has made his name as drummer for DOPE and PRIMER 55.
The March 11 show at the Key Club — SOCIETY 1's final show before hitting the studio to record the follow-up to "Exit Through Fear" — promises to be a freakshow gala of eye-opening, stomach-turning, soul-inverting sights and sounds.
Not only will SOCIETY 1 play a full set of their industrial-metal mayhem, but frontman Matt Zane (as his alter-ego "The Lord") will also perform a series of songs while suspended from his back with meathooks. Joining Matt on vocals will be a very special guest, yet to be revealed.
The entire show will be filmed for a DVD, coming out later this year on Earache.
Dope Bassist Quits
Dope have been forced to find a last-minute replacement for bassist Sloane ‘Mosey’ Jentry, as they prepare to head out for a two-month American tour. Jentry has decided to quit the band to lead a more ‘normal’ life. Dope have brought in Powerman 5000’s Adrian Ost to take over for the tour.
