Arsis Prepares For Thrash And Burn Tour
Determined to complete a tour with no car accidents, illnesses, or other distressing turmoil and ready to brave the road once again for the upcoming Thrash And Burn Tour, ARSIS bassist Noah Martin checks in to bring us up-to-date on tour preparations and the band’s newest addition:
“We’re really pumped about this tour. I don’t think there’s anything that will prevent us from finishing it. [Lead singer/guitarist] Jim [Malone]’s over his pneumonia. He’s been working out and running, and he feels better than ever. We even have new management that’s helping us move forward. They’re AMAZING. Hopefully our tour laminates will come with a lucky rabbit’s foot! [laughter] Right now we’re going over to [Anthrax singer] Dan Nelson’s place to rehearse for about three days before the Thrash And Burn tour starts. Our new drummer is Shawn Priest from Idaho. All the best drummers are coming outta nowhere from the Midwest! We screened him through his video on YouTube, and when we hooked up, he learned ‘We Are The Nightmare’ in a day and a half. We’re REALLY excited about this. We’re gonna have new drum parts in our songs off the new album. It’s gonna be WAY thrashier, more in-your-face. ‘Servants To The Night’ has been added to the set list because of Shawn. We’d like to keep him on as full-time, so we’ll see how he does on this tour. His flight to New York got delayed and he had to sleep in the airport, but he took it like a champ, so he’ll fit right in, putting up with a bunch of bullshit right from the start! [laughter] We’ll see if we can get him to drink boxed wine. First post on Blabbermouth gets a free beer at one of our shows!”
The video to the title track off of We Are The Nightmare recently received an outpouring of fan votes on MTV2's "Your Vote Counts" for inclusion on the next episode of Headbangers Ball. View the trailer to We Are The Nightmare’s bonus DVD here. An ARSIS live show photo gallery can be viewed at the Metal Fanatix website.
The Thrash And Burn North American tour features Darkest Hour (headliner), Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, Winds of Plague, Stick to Your Guns, Arsis, Abigail Williams, Arsonists Get All the Girls and After The Burial. The tour dates are as follows: More...
Endwell Kicked Off The Mosh Lives Tour with Emmure
Endwell has been kicked off of The Mosh Lives Tour that Emmure is headlining. Here's and update from the band:
"First off, we want to apologize to everyone who was planning on coming out and seeing us on the MOSH LIVES tour but unfortunately as of yesterday (Tuesday May 27th) we have been kicked off of the tour because of a T-Shirt....yep that's right. Apparently some people can't take a joke. We were stoked for this tour and looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and playing some fun shows. Without getting into all the details well leave it at this; some of our good friends receive an email from a certain Tyrant telling them that if we weren't removed from the tour immediately that they would have hell to pay and the outcome was us being asked to leave the tour. We basically drove 30 hours straight to meet up with the tour in Texas and now 2 days later were driving 20 hours back home, it was a good waste of a few hundred dollars in gas.
"Needless to say we're beyond bummed....either way you guys should still go out and support the Mosh Lives tour. There are some great bands and its a great show everynight. We want to thank Recon, After The Burial, Ligeia, Emmure and On Broken Wings for being cool dudes and hopefully we'll get back out there with a few of you again at some point.
"All in all this is just another bump in the road and were not gonna let it slow us down. Our new EP (Revenge Is A Healthy Motive) came out today on Itunes and through our online store, were heading up to Canada in 2 weeks with our pals in MEANS and OCEANS and then right after that we head out on a FULL US tour with Stray From The Path and The Ghost Inside starting in Cali in July. Can't hold us down.....if any hardcore bands are reading this and wanna go on tour hit us up!!! We're gonna be doin our full length at the end of the summer and we're not looking to be home..EVER!"
You can see the shirt design (which appears to be taking a jab at Victory Records, who recenlty dropped the band) in question that got the band kicked off the tour on their Blogspot page.
Victory owner Tony Brummel previously commented on the band's release:
"There is no drama here. Bands and labels go in opposite directions all of the time. Endwell and I are totally cool and they knew about this last week. They are young guys and understandably a bit shocked still and emotional. They know that I will help them in any way that I can in the future. Who knows, we might even end up working together again."

After The Burial Singer Announces Departure
Nick Wellner, frontman for Minnesota hardcore/metal outfit After The Burial, has officially announced his departure from the group. Here's his statement:
"After much deliberation I have decided to part ways with After the Burial. I love these guys and this decision is not personal in the least. We all need to do what makes us happy in life and touring extensively for a living is not the life I want. I don't want to hold them back so it's best I get out while I still can. I want to be here in the TC with my family and friends, and play music here. I will be doing the last few shows we have listed (6/28, 7/7, 7/22).
I will be continuing on drums in The Harlan and I will be starting a new hardcore project doing vocals; think With Honor, Sinking Ships, Comeback Kid. I will miss all of my out-of-town friends that I have made along the way, but I will see you when you come through the Twin Cities. For all you Midwest folk, we have these last few shows, so let's make them count! Twin Cities kids, watch out for the new project, stage dives and pile ons up your ass, let's make something amazing together. Please keep an eye and ear open for my last hometown show, I hope to see you all there!"

"We couldn't be more excited about this tour," frontman Vincent Bennett says. "The dudes in Hatebreed are nicest guys ever, we really got to know them over in the UK. We have wanted to tour with God Forbid and Evergreen Terrace for a while now and can't wait to see what After The Burial has to offer. And, obviously, we can't wait to hit the road with Terror again, we have been trying to hop on a tour with them since the last one. Everyone should expect the most from us. We have a lot of great bands to keep up with...shit is going to be intense." The entire tour line-up is as follows: Hatebreed, God Forbid, Evergreen Terrace, Terror, THE ACACIA STRAIN and After The Burial.

Sponsored by Jagermeister and Monster Energy Drink, the Monsters of Mayhem tour has launched its very own “Ladies Night,” putting the females front and center by offering FREE admission for the first 150 females over 21 attending each show. Advance tickets will be available for pre-sale on Hatebreed’s official website, as well as advance pre-order consideration for Hatebreed’s official fan club. A savvy marriage of hardcore and metal’s finest talents, the Monsters of Mayhem tour marks Hatebreed’s return to the US after a successful UK tour with the Acacia Strain.
Spanning over 21 cities, Monsters of Mayhem II will kick off on May 18th lasting until June 9th. Hatebreed will then head over to Europe for select dates, before returning to headline the second stage at this year’s free Ozzfest. Hatebreed’s latest triumph, Supremacy has been received with overwhelming critical acclaim and respect. Supremacy marks Hatebreed’s Roadrunner debut, as well as a musical catharsis for frontman Jamey Jasta. “I wanted to just put it all out there, to wear my heart on my sleeve more than I have in the past,” Jasta proclaimed in an October 2006 interview with Revolver, “…I needed this to be the most vicious record we’ve ever done.”
