Mutiny Bassist/Vocalist Checks In
AJ, the bassist and vocalist for New Jersey based melodic metal act Mutiny checked to talk about his lesson with Melissa Cross, and upcoming live dates:
We are now in the finals of The Break Contest. It will take place on Saturday, April 14th at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The winner will move on to play The Bamboozle at Giants Stadium.
We have prepared a new song entitled "Frozen", and will debut it at the finals.
My vocal lesson with Melissa Cross exceeded my expectations. She is now a Mutiny fan and assures to lend a helping hand whenever possible. I will have a follow-up lesson with her soon and should be ready to record vocals within weeks. When our demo is done, we will release it on our myspace page.
Online demo will include the songs: "Before The Day", "Twisted Within Lies", and "Breaking Bach".
However, we want to wait until the demo with our new material is finished before sending our press kits to labels and contacts around the world. This 3 song demo will include: "My Eyes In The Fire", "Frozen", and our newest project which remains untitled. All recordings will be done at 66Samus Studios.
Check out some new videos on our myspace page or at Mutiny's YouTube channel.

Mutiny Issue Recording Update
Mutiny's bass player, AJ, posted the following message on their myspace blog:
Samus [drummer] is at a studio in New York recording drums for the new Dark Empire album. We're all very excited about this, he's gonna tear that shit up!
Back here at home, the rest of us are working on a new song. Plus, we have about 5 or 6 other songs waiting to be worked on as well. The new songs are shorter in length but jam packed with material, straight to the point...
Last week, Samus had us all go over to his new studio and record Breaking Bach. Everything is recorded except for vocals. We asked Tom from Slaughter For Sanity to give it a shot and he is all for it! We have been chillin with him a lot lately and feel a strong connection, we're all very confident that his performance will blow everyone away! When Samus gets back next week, we'll start working on new songs and record Tom's vocals. We will then begin to record the rest of our songs and compile a press kit to send out to record labels.
One more thing, watch the new videos on our page...

Ex-Mutiny Vocalist Looking For New Band Members
Best known as the ex-vocalist for the New Jersey based metal band, Mutiny, Kaan is a singer and songwriter. He took care of primary promotions, booking, and PR for Mutiny, after joining in 2005. After kick starting a band that no one ever had heard of, Kaan brought the band to perform with some of the biggest names in the metal industry, including, but not limited to DANZIG, W.A.S.P, CARNIVORE, SEVEN WITCHES and SEVENTH VOID. Kaan had to part ways with Mutiny at the beginning of 2007 due to musical differences. Other past & present projects include Transidium, Spinal Remains, Savant, and Sorrowstorm Kaan also plays guitar and bass, and dabbles in keyboards and drums. He is seeking out dedicated, talented, driven and 'non-asshole' band to start up a metal or punk band. If you are already in an established band, but are seeking a vocalist, he is willing to join if the opportunity is right. You can contact him at myspace.com/wrathofkaan or kaanamusic@yahoo.com.
Mutiny Post Video Biography, Seek Vocalist
The New Jersey based melodic death/black metal outfit, Mutiny, have posted a biography of the band in video form on their myspace page.
As noted in the Metalunderground interview with Mutiny's bass player AJ, the band is looking for a new lead vocalist.
This message was posted on their myspace page in regard to the matter:
SINGER WANTED! Samus, Brandon, Drew, Lu, and myself feel like the ultimate band. The music is the sickest shit I've ever heard and we have a blast making it. Our singer, Kaan, has been in this band for over a year now and we have become very close with him. Kaan will be performing on the 26th as scheduled.
Okay, now the reason we are looking for a singer is because we want to see what else is out there. If you think you have what it takes to handle this sick rock, e-mail me at NeoMutiny06@hotmail.com or send us a myspace message. If you have any CD's or youtube videos showing your stuff, send that our way as well. Good luck...stay metal - Aj
