Lord Belial Begin Recording New Album

Sweden's LORD BELIAL has entered Los Angered studio (owned by KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque) outside Gothenburg to begin recording its seventh full-length album, entitled "Revelation". A late 2006 release via Regain Records is expected.

LORD BELIAL's sixth full-length album, "Nocturnal Beast", was released last November via Regain . The follow-up to 2004's "The Seal of Belial" was recorded at Los Angered.

"The Seal of Belial" received its long-overdue U.S. release on September 20, 2005 via Candlelight Records USA.

Lord Belial Post Album Art And Song For New CD

Sweden's LORD BELIAL have uploaded the cover artwork and two full tracks ("Desolate Passage" and "Monarchy of Death") from their sixth full-length album, "Nocturnal Beast", at LordBelial.com.

As previously reported, Regain Records has set a November 21 European release date for "Nocturnal Beast". The follow-up to last year's "The Seal of Belial" was recorded at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Los Angered Recording studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. "The result is 11 songs including intro and outro and the playing time is about 43 minutes," the band write on their web site.

LORD BELIAL recently announced that "The Seal of Belial" will receive its long-overdue U.S. release on September 20 via Candlelight Records USA.

Lord Belial Complete Songwriting For New Album

Sweden's LORD BELIAL will enter Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Los Angered Recording studios in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 13 to begin recording their sixth full-length album, "Nocturnal Beast", tentatively due before the end of the year through Regain Records. "All the songs [are] done; now all that remain is lots of rehearsing, and of course some general touch-ups and improvements," the band write on their web site.

"[At] this very moment, the famous artist Kris Verwimp is painting a cover for the 'Nocturnal Beast'," the group continue. "Additionally with the new logo, LORD BELIAL is going through lots of changes that make it all feel very exciting, as if a new era is rising…

"LORD BELIAL is in contact with the Dutch promotion label Panzer Promotions that now is working hard to put together a headlining European tour later this year."

LORD BELIAL have been confirmed as the headliners of the fourth annual Jalometalli Festival, set to be held August 19-20 in Oulu, Finland. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are EXMORTEM, EMBRAZE, FOR MY PAIN… and OMNIUM GATHERUM, among others.

Swedish Black metal horde LORD BELIAL have posted the following update:

Lord Belial has set June 13 as the date to commence the recording of Nocturnal Beast, the follow up to The Seal of Belial, which is due for release on Regain Records later this year. The studio is as reported the same as for the last 3 albums, namely Los Angered Recording.

Lord Belial Writing New Material

The Swedish black metal band Lord Belial is writing new material for their next, yet untitled, album which is set to be released later this year on Regain Records.

The musical direction is meant to be a natural developed continuation of "The Seal of Belial". Los Angered Recording Studios will be used for the album, though no date has been set.

Lord Belial Bassist Undergoes Surgery

LORD BELIAL bassist Anders Backelin underwent surgery Thursday night (July 8), according to a posting on the band's web site. "Due to the related complications which may follow, Anders is ordered to take it easy for at least 6 months," the group write. "The top priority for LORD BELIAL right now is to let Anders rest and therefore we will not commence any live activities for the rest of the year. Instead we will work on new material. All booked gigs is canceled until further notice. We, the other members of LORD BELIAL wish Anders the best of luck!"

LORD BELIAL recently completed work on their new album, "The Seal of Belial". The CD was engineered by Nicklas Rudolfsson and Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND) at Los Angered Recording studios in Gothenburg, Sweden and was mixed by Andy. A late 2004 release through Regain Records is expected.
