Acey Slade Comments On Joining Wednesday 13

"I can't believe nobody got the hints! If you read my blogs, I think all of the last few I was listening to either Wednesday or Murderdolls and talking about playing 'old songs' ha,ha. I was talking to Jason, the other guitarist today about the songs, and I just know this All American Massacre tour is going to KILL (pun intended)!

I have always felt like Wednesday and I had some unfinished business to attend to and the timing couldn't be better! The stars lined up right for the first time in MONTHS! Wednesday has such a large catalog of songs and I'm very flattered to have the oppertunity to play them live. Shit, lot of people have never been able to see Wednesday and I on stage together. I feel like Christmas came early!"

Tour dates will be announced soon.

Former Murderdolls Guitarist Joins Wednesday 13

Former MUDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 is gearing up for the All American Massacre U.S. tour starting in late January and running until the beginning of March. The trek will also include THE VINCENT BLACK SHADOWS, THE AKA'S and CREATURE FEATURE.

In other news, Wednesday 13 has announced that the band will remain a five-piece with the addition of ex-MURDERDOLLS/TRASHLIGHT VISION guitarist Acey Slade.

Commented Wednesday 13: "Once I realized I couldn't play guitar with my broken collar bone just before the October tour began I knew I really had to push the visual aspect of the show. I really went out of my way to try and bring the songs to life in a more visual way. It was fun to get inside these songs and act them out. The audiences all seemed to enjoy it as well and I was having a blast with it. I decided by the end of the tours that this is what I wanted to do by continuing making the live shows more theatrical and the only way to really do that was to remain a five-piece. The new ideas I have for the new years stage show are all over the place and I'm really excited for the new tour, and the fans to see it."

As previously reported, Horror High, LLC has set a February 5, 2008 U.S. release date for Wednesday 13's video project "Weirdo-A-Go-Go". This will be Horror High, LLC's first release to be distributed by Caroline/EMI.

"Weirdo-A-Go-Go" features the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely. The project was shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc. Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESCENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.

WEDNESDAY 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS) will release his already completed new album, "Skeletons", in March/April 2008. "We have been meeting with various record labels and want to make sure we find the right home," reads a posting on Wednesday's MySpace page. "We want to give the new record label as much time as needed to really set up the CD. This CD is very personal to W13 and he wants to make sure it gets the proper attention." Tentative songtitles set to appear on the album include "From Here to the Hearse", "Dead Carolina", "All American Massacre" and "Not Another Teenage Anthem".

Trashlight Vision Call It A Day

TRASHLIGHT VISION, the band featuring featuring former MURDERDOLLS guitarist Acey Slade, has issued the following statement:

"As they say, all good things must come to an end, so it is with a heavy heart that Acey, Jonny, Rags and Steve have decided to put an end to TRASHLIGHT VISION. TRASHLIGHT VISION are appreciative of all the people who have put blood, sweat, tears, ink, and love into the band. We thank you and cherish everything you have done to help us out when nobody else would."

Commented Acey: "Funny, when we were starting out, we were so jealous of other bands who had more money and a bigger machine behind them. Yet, despite our lack of money and lack of 'machine,' we have gone around the world and played with some of our favorite bands. We met extroardinary people and rocked EVERY night."

The group's statement continues: "Ironically, those bands would never go on to enjoy the touring, critical acclaim, and all the fans that TRASHLIGHT VISION would! Two things that can never be taken away from TRASHLIGHT VISION are the fact that we had a ton of character and gave 100%, 100% of the time."

Bassist Roger "Rags" Segal has reportedly joined SORRY & THE SINATRAS, the band featuring Scott Sorry of THE WILDHEARTS on guitar/vocals and Lenny Thomas (ex-TRASHLIGHT VISION) on drums. A full-length album is expected early next year.

According to a press release, the car flipped at least once, leaving Wednesday 13 with a broken collar bone and a fractured ankle. Wednesday 13 had just finished recording his new solo CD, "Skeletons". Tentative songtitles set to appear on the CD include "From Here to the Hearse", "Dead Carolina", "All American Massacre" and "Not Another Teenage Anthem".

Wednesday 13 will tour the U.S. for the month of October and then head overseas for his "Fan Appreciation" tour in November.

As previously reported, Wednesday 13's video project "Weirdo-A-Go-Go" has been completed for a tentative February 2008 release. The show will feature the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. Wednesday 13 On Murderdolls Reunion And More

Former MURDERDOLLS singer Wednesday 13 has posted the following question-and-answer session on his MySpace page:

Q: Why did you change band members from "Transylvania" to "Fang Bang"?

Wednesday: It was a decision that I made early in 2006. Two of the other guys had projects they were working on that was becoming a priority over W13 the band. In the winter of 2005 we were getting some great offers to play shows, but the guys weren't always available. It seemed like it would become a conflict later on when "Fang Bang" came out and when it came to touring. It also wouldn't be fair to the fans that everytime they showed up to a show, I had a different band member. I didn't want to be the guy that made the band members choose between W13 and their dreams. It wasn't a decision out of anger, or not being friends, it was just the best decision to make due to the circumstances. I wish them all the best!!!!

Q: FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS?? Reunion?? Albums??

Wednesday: Well, it was quick and gone right away. We got together for a few shows locally in 2005 and had plans to do more things in the future. It was a bit premature, it was a lot of fun, but it should've, would've, could've been out of control, and over the top...but it wasn't. There was no person to blame for it, it just wasn't the right time I guess. During that time the box set was being put together and I became more busy and involved with W13 stuff (which is and will always be the priority) and it just sorta fell to the side. Will there ever be a full reunion/tour??? Good question, but it looks pretty unlikey. FDQ...was a big, big part of my past and I'm very proud of it!!! Even though it looked promising to see the light of day again...I would say at this time it's very much just a memory.

Q: MURDERDOLLS???

Wednesday: The idea that MURDERDOLLS would reunite and record has been floating around like a ghost for almost five years now. I can't say no it won't ever happen because I'm not a psychic. I would like to think there is a possibility someday, but who knows? We all have moved on since those days and grew away from it but I know deep down inside we all think sometime... "Hey, what if we did one more?"

Maiden, GNR Members To Appear At Benefit Concert

Members of Iron Maiden, Andrew WK, Murderdolls, Type O Negative, Disturbed, Poison, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Orgy, Danzig, Fear Factory, W.A.S.P., Bang Tango, Quiet Riot, Beautiful Creatures, Cinderella, Lynch Mob, Danger Danger, Ministry, Misfits and Great White are among the musicians that have reportedly been confirmed to appear a benefit concert on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Hard Rock Café in Beverly Hills, California to raise funds to pay for the surgery and medical treatment of Raven Nicole Robinson, a two-month-old girl born with a very large hole in between the right and left pumping chambers of her heart.

According to a posting at RavensHeart.org, "[Raven's] condition is called Ventricular Septal Defect. Large ventricular septal defects cause problems, as the pressure in the right side of the heart decreases, blood will start to flow to the path of least resistance. This leads to congestive heart failure and must be treated. The most important sign of congestive heart failure is the baby's growth.

"Babies who have significant congestive heart failure will have failure to thrive and will have difficulty maintaining a normal weight gain in the first few months of life. Such is Raven's case, at birth she weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. She is now [four] months old and struggles with every swallow; [Mother] Misse often feeds her with a medicine dropper and anticipates the usual vomiting that follows. Raven has just reached 8 lbs. She is on numerous medications to try and prolong her life until surgery."
