Single Bullet Theory Video To Air On HBB
Crash Music, Inc. announced that MTV 2 Headbanger’s Ball has accepted Single Bullet Theory’s new video "Hallowed Out" for airing.
The video will debut on Headbanger’s Ball Saturday December 18th.
Single Bullet Theory will hit the road for a full National tour with Amorphis, starting in March in support of their Crash Music release "Behind Eyes Of Hatred".
Single Bullet Theory Shoot 'Hollowed Out' Video
Philadelphia's technical metal newcomers SINGLE BULLET THEORY will be shooting a brand new video for the song "Hollowed Out" on Sept 11th in Ardmore and Langhorne, PA. The video will be directed by Jay Bones and is designed to be a performance video. "Hollowed Out" is taken from of the bands brand new disc Behind Eyes of Hatred, recently released by Crash Music. The record was produced by James Murphy (of Death, Testament, Obituary, etc. fame) and features two guest solos by Murphy as well as a guest drum performance by Matt Thompson (King Diamond) on 6 of the 12 blistering tracks.
In other news, SBT has launched their brand new site at www.singlebullettheory.net. The brand new site features sound clips, news, touring schedules as well as an online store and a mailing list sign on.
Single Bullet Theory Guitarist Departs
Philadelphia based SINGLE BULLET THEORY have officially announced the departure of original guitarist Doug Rush. "The split is amicable and is nothing more then a change in Doug's personal life forcing him to quit," states lead vocalist / guitarist Matt Difabio. "Doug has been with me for over 10 years and its hard to see him go, we were a team of sorts but I respect his decision and am looking forward to the future."
Long time friend and current SHADOWDANCE guitarist Carlos Alverez has stepped up to fill the shoes of Rush. "Carlos and I have been the best of friends for a VERY long time and the band sounds 100% again, Carlos is an amazing player and his insight and ability are gonna take SINGLE BULLET THEORY to new heights... I am really looking forward to getting back out on the road in late summer and push the hell out of "Behind Eyes of Hatred."
SBT Guitarist Talks About Death Tribute
In a public statement, SINGLE BULLET THEORY guitarist Matt Difabio took the chance to update people on the upcoming DEATH tribute CD:
"As most of you may know, I had the unbelievable chance to perform on the tribute to Chuck Schuldiner. During the recording of the new SINGLE BULLET THEORY disc, James Murphy and I took a night aside and I tracked the vocals for the song "spirit crusher" (originally on The Sound of Perseverance). I just wanted to say how wonderful it is being given the opportunity to be able to give something back to the legend that influenced me so very much. For those of you who always seem to having something negative to say about EVERYTHING...wait till the disc comes out to judge anyone's ability or "worthiness" to be part of it. So far James has assembled a killer cast of performers and from the tracks I have heard so far, everyone has done a fantastic job. Long live the memory of Chuck and long live the legacy of his believe in what heavy music should be."
Single Bullet Theory Taps King Diamond Drummer
Philadelphia-based extreme metallers SINGLE BULLET THEORY will reportedly be utilizing the services of KING DIAMOND drummer Matt Thompson during the recording sessions for the new SBT album. At the present time, it is unclear whether Matt will join SBT as a full-fledged member. "We are actually using two excellent drummers for this disc," SINGLE BULLET THEORY guitarist/singer Matt Difabio stated. "The other guy is a good buddy of mine named Jason Dunkerly who is utterly amazing... It's gonna be great to have two excellent drummers on the disc." There is no official word yet as to how many songs either player will perform but there has been word of a classic metal cover being re-vamped.
SINGLE BULLET THEORY will begin recording the follow-up to 2003's "Route 666" (Crash/Pavement) at Angry Chair studios in Glenside, Pa. The record will be titled "Behind Eyes Of Hatred" and will be mixed by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, DISINCARNATE).
Original SINGLE BULLET THEORY drummer John Sasso announced his departure after the band recently finished a U.S. tour with KING DIAMOND, ENTOMBED and NOCTURNE.
The band, who are currently receiving airplay on "Headbanger's Ball", "Extreme Rock" and "Uranium", are still looking for a full-time drummer to join once the disc is complete. Interested parties can contact the band at Thebullettheory@aol.com.
