German heavy rockers Pump announced the addition of vocalist Oliver Weers (Oliver Weers Band/Ex-Ripe/D.I.M.) to the group. For a taste of Weers, the band has posted a preview for the new track "Tear Down The Walls" (shown below).
Bassist Michael Vetter commented on the addition of Weers: “We had many candidates for the vacant position, among them a number of really good musicians, and having to reject them really wasn’t easy. We want to thank all the applicants, thank you for your understanding and we wish you all lots of success in the future!”
Guitarist Aki Reissmann added: “We are extremely excited to announce and welcome Oliver Weers into the band as vocalist. Oliver has really been a breath of fresh air for us, and in the first week of jamming with him we were able to finish the recoding of the new album ‘Waiting For The Rapture‘ soon. Oliver’s voice add new dimensions to our sound. Thanks for always supporting PUMP, and keep your ears open for hot news in 2013.”

German melodic metal band Pump, featuring Ex-Brainstorm vocalist Marcus Jürgens and Ex-Brainstorm/Symphorce guitarist Stefan Bertolla, posted a in studio video on the band's recording of its fourth LP "Waiting for the Rapture." The album is expected for release later in 2012 through Metal Heaven Records.

PUMP, the German heavy rockers featuring ex-BRAINSTORM singer Marcus Jürgens, have parted ways with drummer Achim Keller, who left the band to join the reformed VICTORY. "We feel sorry for his departure, but we wish him all the best and good luck in VICTORY," the group write in a statement.
PUMP are currently seeking a replacement drummer. If you feel you're the right person, please contact the band's management at email@example.com. "You don't have to be German, but you should have a passion for '80s U.S. heavy rock musically and visually," the band's statement adds. "You also should also be ready to work as hard as all the other members for the maximum of success."
