As everybody knows by now, no matter what size show we play we always put out hearts into it and give 110%. We will always love playing the smaller shows, that’s where our roots are; screaming in peoples faces when they are three inches away from us. Now, there’s a lot more space between us and a lot more faces so I intend on screaming much louder! Prepare for hardcore fury!”

There is an online competition going on at Famecast.com, which includes a metal "stage." This is the first season for the metal stage and Famecast's second season competition. Artists register and submit a music video, then fans vote and after 4 total rounds of voting 5 finalists from each stage are flown to Austin TX to compete in a webcast contest. The winner from each genre gets a check for $10,000. There will be a total of 12 winners - one from each stage or "genre."
The metal stage is currently open for voting, but still taking submissions through June 11.
The competition begins with the audience selecting the Top 50 artist performances. The contestant field will be narrowed each round until an ultimate winner is selected. Viewers may vote for as many artists they wish, but may only vote once per artist in each round. Advancing contestants must submit a NEW performance video when they reach the Top 10 (Round 4). Artists can choose to submit a new performance video during the Top 50 and Top 25 (Rounds 2 and 3), however, it is not required. The final five contestants from each Stage will be flown on location to compete in the FameCast 5 Finals, a live webcast where the online viewing audience selects the ultimate winner in each genre – the Famecast Fenom.
Already, some notables including At All Cost, Powerderburn and Desolate Ways are participating, as well as a number of even more underground bands. So head on over and sign up to vote or participate. Or just go and watch the videos.

The Esoteric have dropped off the remainder of their current tour with At All Cost and Versus The Mirror as a result of vehicle issues. Vocalist Stevie Cruz comments:
"To the bands, promoters, venues, booking agents, and most importantly to anyone planning on attending these upcoming shows, we are very sorry and want nothing more than to rawk with you, sometimes things don't work out as planned. We tried everything possible to continue with the touring but sometimes when it rains, it pours. One after another, problems we did not foresee came to light with our van and trailer and the sad truth is we just could not make ends meet to make all the needed repairs to continue.
Instead of digging ourselves a bigger hole and creating more problems, we decided it was best to nip these problems in the bud so we can be 110% repaired and ready for our tour next month with Mouth Of The Architect. From the bottom of our black hearts, we are very sorry and will be coming back to your area very soon."
Texas group At All Cost has amicably parted ways with drummer Grant Anderson. States the band, "We love Grant and wish him the very best in all ofhis future endeavors. He is a true friend and a brotherto each of us. Thank you Grant for all the good times and tours over the past four years. You will be missed dearly."
Consequently, At All Cost is now in search of new drummer. Interested candidates should videotape themselves playing the band's songs "The Irony," "Human Now," and "This War It's Time" and send an email to email@example.com with a link to the video online.
