Level Plane Records to Release Tombs Debut

Level Plane Records has announced plans to release the debut EP/CD from New York's Tombs. The group features Mike Hill, of Anodyne and Versoma, on guitar/vocals, in addition to Justin Ennis (The Heuristic) on drums and Dominic Seita (Speedloader) on bass. Tentatively titled "Wasteland," the seven-song EP will surface late this fall. In the meantime you can check out the band here.

Robotic Empire Releasing Windmills By The Ocean LP

Robotic Empire will release the recently unearthed recording from Windmills By The Ocean. Featuring members of Isis, Red Sparowes, Anodyne, and 27, the album consists of "intense (mostly) instrumental stuff" and was recorded in 2003. The effort will see the light of day on August 8th in both CD and LP format.

Matamoros Form From Anodyne, Lickgoldensky, etc.

Late last year Mike Hill (Anodyne) and Jamie Getz (Lickgoldensky) began playing together. Now, rounded out by Hot Cross drummer Greg Drudy and christened Matamoros, the group has recorded some new material (see below). The band continues to solidify new material in preparation for some shows.
