Sleep Terror Drop Off Maryland Deathfest 2008
SLEEP TERROR have, announced that they will no longer be performing at this year’s highly anticipated Maryland Deathfest, which will take place from May 23rd to 25th at the Sonar in Baltimore, MD:
“I regret to say that it just can’t happen. It’s just too long of ways for an opening 30 minute slot and I’m not even sure what the drummer situation was going to be. Dave McGraw expressed interest, but at the time he will be busy with CATTLE DECAPITATION and it would be too risky only getting a couple practices in just for one gig when we haven’t even rehearsed in nearly a year much less played a show."
"I am not really sure what future this project holds for being a live act anymore to be fully honest. There are too many layers, harmonies, and all kinds of craziness in the recordings for it to be justified as a live act with only 2 players. This has been the main thing that has affected my constant breakdowns and spiraled decisions and constant stress trying to make it work, especially in the last couple years. We’ll see. But for now.. no MD fest and no shows period anymore for awhile if not permanently. This may have to remain a recording project for obvious reasons. I apologize to any affected for the show cancellation. Luckily this is pretty good advance notice so no extreme harm done. Thanks for understanding." More...
