Doc Coyle issues the following comments regarding the DVD, "Hey, it's Doc checking in from the 4th day of the 'In Thrash We Trust' tour with Death Angel, Soilent Green and Light This City. So far it's been a blast. The first two shows were with Testament, and they were excellent. We are sharing a bus with Death Angel and they are really some of the nicest guys I have ever met. There is a lot of positive energy and enthusiasm that they carry with them. Man, do they destroy live! I wasn't too familiar with them before the tour, but I can see why they are considered legends. Soilent Green and Light This City are kicking ass too. Great people and awesome bands." More...

All That Remains Finalizes Headlining Tour Dates
Massachusetts' ALL THAT REMAINS has finalized all dates for the band's forthcoming headlining tour, which is slated to start later this month and will feature support from Chimaira, Five Finger Death Punch, Divine Heresy and Prosthetic labelmates Light This City. Divine Heresy will open the tour's first string of dates with Light This City taking over opening duties on Feb. 21.
"We are gonna be pulling out all the stops for this one," ALL THAT REMAINS frontman Phil Labonte previously said. "We're gonna have a far bigger production than we have ever had. I won't make any promises and we're probably not gonna play anything off of ‘Behind Silence.’ No time to teach old songs. We have a record to write as well as get ready for a tour. And it's gonna be a sweet tour!"
Tickets for ALL THAT REMAINS’ headlining tour are available online here. The band continues to support its latest effort, ‘The Fall of Ideals,’ which saw a July 2006 release through Prosthetic Records. Also recently released this past fall were a reissue of the band’s since out of print debut ‘Behind Silence and Solitude’ as well as the band’s first-ever DVD, ‘All That Remains Live,’ which features all the band’s music videos, footage from two live shows, behind the scenes footage, interviews with the fans and the band, and more.

Light This City Post End Of Year Update
Bay Area thrashers LIGHT THIS CITY have issued a year-end update on the band's MySpace page:
"Holy shit! 2007 was a fucking beast! Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows, let us crash at their houses, and raised their horns high. Let's do a little recap, eh?
"The year started off with a short tour with our buddies in ALL THAT REMAINS, which was absolutely incredible. We couldn't be more stoked to be going out with those dudes again in February. After that was the video shoot for 'The Unwelcome Savior' with Darren Doane which ended up on regular rotation on MTV2's 'Headbanger's Ball' and on Comcast on Demand. That was one of our dreams come true, and we can't thank Darren enough for being so rad and the awesome job done on the video!
"Next was our Southwest 'California Love' tour with THE FACELESS and ANTAGONIST, which was needless to say, tons of fun. Check out both bands if you haven't already, because they are awesome dudes who shred…hard. In April, we embarked on the 'Radicalysm' tour with HORSE THE BAND, THE NUMBER 12 LOOKS LIKE YOU, and SO MANY DYNAMOS. All great great bands. SO MANY DYNAMOS' new record is going to be huge, so get into them early before they blow up!! That was one of the most interesting and hilariously awesome tours we have ever been a part of. All amazing dudes, we thank HORSE THE BAND for taking us out and being such sweet guys.
"After another run of shows with ALL THAT REMAINS in May, we embarked on our first ever headlining tour, the 'Thrash and Burn' tour alongside CERBERUS, THE FUNERAL PYRE, and ANTAGONIST. That was extremely successful, and we were so pleased with all you metalheads that came and showed your love! Make sure to check out the above mentioned bands, because they are some of the only genuine 'real' metal bands around right now, and they deserve your attention!
"What came next blew our minds completely. The 'Rocket Ride' tour with EDGUY, INTO ETERNITY and ECHOES OF ETERNITY. This was our first-ever 'really, really heavy metal' tour, and it was fucking incredible. The crowds every night were insane, and the bands were so good. EDGUY is probably the best band ever, ever.
"Almost lastly was the 'Death by Decibels' tour alongside VADER, MALEVOLENT CREATION, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS and VEIL OF MAYA, which most definitely kicked ass. Amazing bands, brutal music, brutal shows. So good. Lastly was this little five-day run with good friends in SUICIDE SILENCE, THE FACELESS and OBLIGE entitled the 'Santa Slays Tour'. All these shows were amazing and absolutely packed. The perfect way to end the year. Thanks to all our California friends for showin' up and hangin' out! Definitely made us feel awesome, and ended the year in the best way possible. Raising the horns high in anticipation of 2008!
"What's next for LTC you ask? We are home for January writing our new record which should be out in September 2008. Then we leave for a U.S. tour with ALL THAT REMAINS and CHIMAIRA. We are fucking excited. Plenty more news coming soon. Stay tuned!"

Light This City Drop Off Death By Decibels Tour
Bay Area thrashers LIGHT THIS CITY have issued the following update:
"Hey everyone,
Time for an overdue update! First off, Laura had a few words to say about us dropping off the Death By Decibels Tour with VADER and MALEVOLENT CREATION that some of you have been curious about:
“Hey all! We in Light This City are sorry to anyone who was hoping to see us on the rest of the Death By Decibels dates, and want to thank everyone who came out and rocked with us on the tour. It was a fucking blast! Big thanks also to Veil of Maya, Abigail Williams, Cattle Decapitation, Malevolent Creation, and Vader for being so rad. We miss you! Due to some important personal issues, we agreed that it would be in our best interest to stay on the west coast and build up our energy for all the huge stuff we have planned in the new year, including a week of California shows with our buddies in The Faceless and Suicide Silence, a US tour with All That Remains, Chimaira, and Five Finger Death Punch in February, and the most exciting thing of all; recording our new album in March! Thanks again for your understanding, and we will see all of you very soon.”
As Laura mentioned, there are some pretty exciting things coming up in 2008 for Light This City. First off, before the year ends we are doing a week of California shows with SUICIDE SILENCE and THE FACELESS, which should be amazing. After that we will be home in January and February to write our new album, which we will record in March and April right after our tour with ALL THAT REMAINS and CHIMAIRA!
You heard right, our buddies in ATR decided to take us out once again! We are incredibly stoked on this and hope you can make it out! We will be playing most of the cities that we missed on the Death By Decibels Tour, so make sure to come hang out and headbang with us once again.
Last but not least, we have a great Christmas present idea for you or you friends! Our first album The Hero Cycle is now almost out of print, with only 50 copies left, and we have signed all of them! Now online via our myspace site for only $12.00 plus shipping. Check it out! After these 50 copies, the album will be unavailable forever. Do it to it! - Light This City."

Light This City Give Touring Update
Currently out on the road, Bay Area thrashers LIGHT THIS CITY have teamed up with Papertiger Webzine to keep fans up to date from the road in the form a a tour journal, penned by LIGHT THIS CITY vocalist Laura Nichol. The second addition of the tour journal is available directly here, and a few excerpts are below:
"Hey kiddos! Right now you should be jealous... Be very jealous, for I am writing from the backstage of the House of Blues in Downtown Disneyland. Fucking score, right?! At first, we thought this show might be cancelled because the Disney execs aren't very fond of the idea of metal dudes with long hair and black clothes cruising around the Happiest Place on Earth. But we squeezed at least one more metal show out of 'em. And now the greasy guys with the tattoos walking around, deriving pleasure from scaring little kids, will also be wearing "I eat pussy" t-shirts courtesy of the colorful Edguy merch booth (no, I have not gotten one for myself)."
"Last night we played our hometown of San Francisco, which was equally exciting and nerve-racking. I had been looking forward to this show the entire tour because my mom promised to come out and she hadn't seen us play since our first show at a rec center in Foster City four years ago (I was seventeen… with pink hair). Everything went over amazingly, all of our friends came out, and my mom loved it, her only advice being, 'We want to see your pretty face, so quit covering it with your hair all the time!' Right after our set, I walk her over to our merch table to check out the gruesome t-shirts, and suddenly, she grabs my arm. 'Laura!" she yells loudly, pointing to a tall guy waiting in line, "look at that boy! He's sooo cute, and he's wearing a Light This City shirt!' Of course, everyone waiting in line hears her, and I push her arm down, wondering whether anyone had ever died from mortification, and kind of wishing it was a possibility at that moment. But I guess the night wouldn't have been a complete mom-experience if there weren't some sort of social embarrassment involved."
"Before San Francisco, the drive from Seattle to Portland was pretty interesting. At about one in the morning, I get into the driver's seat and start looking for a place to stop and refuel my stomach for the three-hour drive through the rain. I exit on some random street right outside of the city and pass a Burger King. After a quick look around, I attempt to discreetly pull off an illegal u-turn into the drive thru, but wouldn't you know it; a cop car slows to a stop right in front of me. Certain I am fucked, I finish the turn and glance sheepishly in the sideview mirror. But to my surprise, the cop takes no notice and continues driving slowly down the street. One of my guys jokes that the cops aren't going to care about petty driving offences with all the prostitutes lurking the neighborhood. And sure enough, when we get our food and stop to eat in the dimly lit parking lot, I catch the eye of a woman across the way who resembles a scantily clad zombie wearing too much makeup. She starts toward the van, looking intently at me, and then I guess she realized I was a girl, and probably wasn't looking to trade my delicious cheeseburger for a toothless blowjob, because she turns at the last second and scuttles off to find another customer. Joe laughs, 'Imagine, if you were a dude and we were a scummier group of guys, we'd be gangbanging a hooker right now!' Yes, just imagine…"
LIGHT THIS CITY will be on tour with Edguy, Into Eternity and Echoes of Eternity for a few more shows before returning home. Later this fall, they will join the Death By Decibels Tour alongside Vader, Malevolent Creation, Cattle Decapitation, Abigail Williams and Veil of Maya. The band is continuing to support its latest release, 'Facing The Thousand,' which saw a September 2006 release through Prosthetic.
