Shaman Streaming New Song "Ego"
Brazilian metallers Shaman are streaming a brand new track, titled "Ego," on their myspace page. The song comes off of the band's new studio album "Origins." "Origins" was released in Europe this past June through AFM Records.

Vougan To Record Live Performances For DVD
Carlos Zema traveled to Brazil to rejoin his Vougan band mates earlier this year for Porao do Rock, the country's largest independent rock festival. Still in Brazil, the band will be recording a live DVD performances during two concerts on November 14 & 15.
The first will be a charity event for the non-governmental agency, Amisrael, an organization known as "The Messengers of Peace." This performance will be an "unplugged" recording. The second performance, at the Atlanta Music Hall in Goiania, Brazil will be be a full-blown, live, concert video. Other bands performing include, Andre Matos (Angra/Shaman), Mindflow, Heaven's Guardian, Refine, and Dynahead.
The DVD will be packaged as a double live video, and will include plenty of extras. Some of the confirmed guests include, Andre Matos (Angra/Shaman),
David Shankle (Manowar / DSG), and Bill Hudson (Cellador/Powerquest/Circle II Circle).

Shaman To Open Up For Deep Purple In Brazil
SHAMAN (formerly SHAAMAN), the revamped Brazilian band featuring drummer Ricardo Confessori (ex-ANGRA) and singer Thiago Bianchi (who recently replaced former Shaaman and Angra vocalist Andrè Matos), have confirmed a pair of upcoming live dates in their homeland including an opening slot for DEEP PURPLE in Curitiba. The band's itinerary is as follows:

SHAMAN (formerly SHAAMAN) — the revamped Brazilian band featuring drummer Ricardo Confessori alongside guitarist Leo Mancini, vocalist Thiago Bianchi and bassist Fernando Quesada — has inked a deal with Italy's Scarlet Records. The group's new album, "Immortal", is scheduled for release in November later. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

Shaman Post New Single Online
SHAMAN (formerly SHAAMAN) — the revamped Brazilian band featuring drummer Ricardo Confessori alongside guitarist Leo Mancini, vocalist Thiago Bianchi and bassist Fernando Quesada — has posted its new single, "In the Dark", at this location. The group shot a video for the song on August 11. Check out pictures from the shoot here.

Shaman Announce New Album Title
SHAMAN (formerly SHAAMAN), the revamped Brazilian band featuring drummer Ricardo Confessori alongside guitarist Leo Mancini, vocalist Thiago Bianchi and bassist Fernando Quesada, has set "Immortal" as the title of its new album, due later in the year. A song from the upcoming CD, entitled "One Life", can be streamed at this location.
SHAAMAN (as the band was known prior to its split) released its sophomore album, "Reason", in May 2005 via AFM Records. The 10-song follow-up to 2002's "Ritual" was mixed and mastered at Heaven's Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany with producer Sascha Paeth, who previously worked with such acts as KAMELOT, EDGUY, RHAPSODY and FREEDOM CALL. A DVD, entitled "RituAlive", came out in 2003.
Former SHAAMAN frontman André Matos (also ex-ANGRA) will release his debut solo album later in the year.
