Black Stone Cherry Sets New Album Drop Date
Hard rocking blues band Black Stone Cherry is set to drop upcoming album "Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" (Roadrunner Records) on May 31, 2011. The first single, “White Trash Millionaire,” will be pushed to radio stations in April.
If that weren't enough going on at one time, Black Stone Cherry is running a promotion with Evan Williams Kentucky Bourbon to produce and sell 450,000 Black Stone Cherry branded bourbon bottles, and they've got 26 tour dates lined up in April and May to promote the new record.

Motley Crue Plays New York's Madison Square Garden
As I approached the outer area of the arena I heard The Last Vegas playing inside and had a choice. It was early, so it was either get a beer, or catch the end of the show. The band sounded nice and loud. The beer tasted great. Maybe next time Vegas.
Theory of a Deadman followed with a short set. Being unfamiliar with this band I found myself comparing each song to other songs. One sounded like Alice in Chains, the next Nickelback, etc. Overall Theory of a Deadman sounded good, and would like to see them in a smaller venue. More...
Hinder Singer Arrested For Drunk Driving
The Jonesboro Sun reports that the lead singer of the rock group HINDER was arrested in Jonesboro, Arkansas on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Austin John Winkler, 26, of Hermosa Beach, Calif., was arrested by Patrolman Anthony Zaffarano at about 11:30 p.m. Friday after a traffic stop at the intersection of West Matthews Avenue and Crescent Cove. Winkler is scheduled to appear in Craighead County District Court on Jan. 2.
The officer said in his report that he conducted a traffic stop after spotting a silver 2003 Suzuki SUV traveling south on Gee Street with no headlights on. More...
Rock AM Ring Adds 37 Bands To Line-Up
Rock Am Ring has added 37 new names to its line up. Here are the rock/metal ones:

Rock Am Ring will take place on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of this year.
Metal In The Charts For The Week of Nov. 15
The Foo Fighter's new live acoustic album, 'Skin and Bones', debuted at No. 21 on The Billboard Top 200 this week with 49,000 copies sold. Hinder fell from No. 11 to 12 and Evanescence fell from No. 12 to 15. The Deftones, who debuted at No. 10 last week, dropped to No. 46 with 23,000 copies of their latest, 'Saturday Night Wrist', sold.
Ill Nino, Nonpoint and 36 Crazyfists failed to make the chart with each band moving less than 4,000 copies of their new releases.
Sales are up 12% from last week and up less than 1% compared to the same week last year. Overall sales for 2006 are down 5% compared to 2005 with 456.2 million units.

Hinder recently visited Detroit's WRIF and discussed the huge success from "Lips of an Angel", plans for their next album, and also performed acoustic versions of "How Long", "Homecoming Queen", and "Lips of an Angel". You can check out the 21 minute interview and performance here.
Deftones Debut At No. 10 On Billbaord Top 200
The Deftones have debuted at No. 10 on this weeks Billboard Top 200 chart. The band's latest album, 'Saturday Night Wrist', scanned 76,000 copies. Evanescence and Hinder both fell out of the top 10. Hinder holds the No. 11 slot and Evanescence No. 12.
Sales were up 6.4% from the previous week and down 2% compared to the same week last year. Overall sales for 2006 are down 5% compared to 2005 with 444.2 million units.
In related news, Evanescence's 'The Open Door' has been certified platinum by the RIAA for shipments in excess of one million copies.
