Terrordrome Announce European Tour Dates

Brutal death metal band TERRORDROME from Thessaloniki, Greece has announced the details of its upcoming European tour. The trek will kick off this week and will see the group sharing the stage with Swedish death metal masters DERANGED for the German, Austrian and Dutch dates, while the UK shows will be headlined by rising German brutal death metal fiends DEFEATED SANITY.

Maryland Deathfest Expands To Three Days

Next year's installment of the annual Maryland Deathfest will take place May 23-25, 2008 at the Sonar in Baltimore, Maryland.

Commented the festival organizers: "You can expect the first day of Maryland Deathfest (Friday, August 23) to begin around 6 p.m. and finish around midnight. The Saturday and Sunday of the fest can expect to start at the same time as previous years in the early afternoon. We expect to confirm approximately 36 bands in total for Maryland Deathfest VI that will span the three days, and once all bands have been announced tickets will go on sale. You will be able to purchase tickets by individual day, three-day pass, and Saturday/Sunday only."

Deranged Book Studio Time

Deranged will enter a small local recording studio this weekend to "cut a demo" for all of the songs that will be featured on the next full length album (as announced earlier to be titled "The red light murder case").
Rikard Wermén (drums) comments; "It'll just be a quick and pretty rough recording. Basically something for Martin (vocals) and I to have when working on the lyrics... There's all in all 10 tracks and as it feels now, they are all strong and will most likely end up on the CD."

Further on, the band are planning to do some serious touring later this year to support the release of "The red light murder case". Release date are set to november and it'll be released on Regain Records.

Deranged Signs With Regain Records

Swedish gore death masters DERANGED have inked a deal with Regain Records. The band, which parted ways with Listenable Records in February, will enter the studio in August to begin recording its new album, "The Red Light Murder Case", for a November 2007 release. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Death Walks on High Heels", "Strip Nude for your Killer", "Watch Me When I Kill", "Too Young Too Die", "The Killer Wore Black Gloves", "So Sweet So Dead" and "The Red Light Murderess".

Drummer drummer Rikard Wermen stated about the upcoming album, "It is the best musical work we have so far accomplished under the name DERANGED. It's brutal and insane, and will hopefully leave you dead with a broken neck in the pit."

Deranged Announce New Guitarist

Swedish brutal death metallers DERANGED have issued the following update:

"Deranged are proud to announce that Tomas Ahlgren (ARSONIST, PANDEMONIUM) has been added to the lineup as the new 5 string shredder. The band has been jamming a while with an incomplete lineup, but it?s now complete with Tomas Ahlgren."

Deranged lineup now includes: Rikard Wermen (drums), Johan Axlesson (guitar), Tomas Ahlgren (bass) and Martin Shonherr (vocals).

As previously reported, Deranged have been working on the follow-up to their sixth full length, Obscenities In B Flat, which was released earlier this year. The band changed the album's working title, 213, to The Red Light Murder Case.

Recording will take place sometime in 2007.

Deranged Begin Work On New Album

Swedish gore death masters DERANGED have commenced work on the follow-up to their sixth full-length album, "Obscenities in B Flat", which was released earlier this year on Listenable Records.

Commented drummer Rikard Wermen: "We have a couple of new songs more or less all done and so many ideas so it won't be any problem to throw some more tracks together. It's to early to say when we will eventually record the new disc. However, it will be titled '213' and a couple of titles that will hopefully and most likely end up on the disc are 'Death Walks on High Heels', 'Strip Nude for your Killer', 'Watch Me When I Kill', 'Too Young Too Die', 'The Killer Wore Black Gloves', 'So Sweet So Dead' and 'The Red Light Murderess'.

Tristania Part With Singer

Norwegian symphonic metal band TRISTANIA have parted ways with vocalist Kjetil Ingebrethsen.

Commented Kjetil: "After four amazing years, I have decided to leave TRISTANIA. There is no bad blood between us at all, and we are still good friends. This is a choice I had to make, just for my own part, and it was the right time to do it now — before the new album.

"I just want to take the opportunity to thank all the fans I have met, and bands I have shared stage with, during tours and festivals. It's been a blast — you will truly be remembered!

"To the TRISTANIA 'family'; Einar, Vibeke, Kenneth, Anders, Rune, Svein Terje, Østen and Carlo — it's been fantastic to be a part of you these years, thank you so much for everything."

Green Carnation Announce European Tour

Green Carnation have announced that they will be play in France for the first time ever with an appearance at the 9th annual prog/rock/metal festival, Raismes Festival, on September 9th. Green Carnation's drummer, Tommy Jackson had the following to say about the festival: "We have been waiting a long time to play in France, and we’re delighted to be invited to the festival. It will be a great start to what promises to be a good tour for the band."


Other bands featured are Freak Kitchen, Adagio, Andromeda, Watcha, and others. Raismes Fest will take place at Le Château de la Princesse d'Arenberg park on September 9 and 10. Following the show in France, the band will take part in the European Harvest Festival tour. Also appearing on the bill are headliners Tristania, Morgana Lefay, Machine Men, Deranged and one more as-yet-unannounced band. Dates are as follows:
