Turmoil Announces Singer, Debuts New Song
Turmoil has confirmed their new singer as Nate Johnson and released a new song exclusively through Lambgoat. Here's the announcement from the band:
"We are very excited to tell you that we have our new singer, and his name is Nate 'Everybody's Favorite Band Whore' Johnson. An observant bartender submitted a video of him doing his best Turmoil karaoke at Local Moose Lodge #42 in Ossipee, NH, and he fucking nailed it. Hopefully he'll stick around for more than 6 weeks. In all honesty he contacted us, told us he has been a longtime fan and submitted a demo. He has a great voice, great presence, and most important of all he is excited about the new recording. We've been trying to keep it under wraps since November because we wanted to present the news along with a finished version of the song 'Papercuts' to let it speak for itself, but due to the fact that he lives so far in the middle of nowhere that we could only reach him via carrier pigeon, it took a little longer than we planned. Here it is, hope you dig it."
Turmoil Selects New Singer, Nate Johnson
Though an announcement has yet to be made, Turmoil has indeed found a replacement for singer Jon Gula, who parted ways with the band this past summer. Now joining the group is Nate Johnson. Over the years, Johnson has fronted a small handful of notable bands, including Through The Eyes Of The Dead and Premonitions Of War.
As you may recall, Johnson recently joined New Jersey's Fit For An Autopsy. Lambgoat reportst that his role with that group will remain unchanged, and in fact, the band just finished recording a new EP with Johnson on vocals.

My Bitter End Members Give Band Update
My Bitter End drummer Mike Ranne has issued an update regarding the band's status:
"We've been receiving alot of messages about people wanting to know what's going on ith MBE. For those of you who haven't read our most recent blog, Hank and myself now play full-time with Through The Eyes Of The Dead and are currently on the last week of the 'bang you head till we raise the dead' tour with Whitechapel, Impending Doom, and A Different Breed Of Killer. It's been amazing to say the least but back to the subject at hand. MBE will never be 'done' or 'dead'... we simply just can't be a full-time band anymore since all the key members now live in different states. We all keep in contact regularly and we always talk about doing some shows here and there because we love playing this music, but unfortunately because the economy is the way it is and because of some other things I won't get into detail with. We just can't tour, which sucks, but if you got to catch us on any of our previous runs, props. and thanks. Anyways, just wanted to say what's good and fill some people in on things. Hope everyone is doing lovely. come see me and Hank on tour if we're rolling through the area you live in."

Animosity's "Teeth Grinder" Video Premiers On HBB
Animosity unleashes the video for the song “Teeth Grinder” for world premiere April 11 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Blog. Following its blogosphere release, the video will make its television debut April 12 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball.
Under the direction of skate video extraordinaire Richie Valdez (Job For A Cowboy, Every Time I Die), Animosity randomly explores San Francisco in typical Animosity fashion with its goofy antics and running-a-muck silliness. Vocalist Leo Miller didn’t use his parent’s, contemporary-art-lined house for “Teeth Grinder’s” filming like he did for “The Black Page.” The band instead took its shenanigans to the gritty streets, hilariously ravaging several cultural attributes that epitomize San Francisco.
Animosity first hit the scene in 2000, when most of the members were only 15 years old, with a blistering brand of death metal/hardcore that sought to defy stereotypes and spit in the face of the mainstream. Almost two years after their Black Market Activities debut, Animosity is back and poised to showcase their tremendous talent and growth with “Animal.”
You can catch Animosity on tour on the following dates: More...

Aiming to fill the voids left by the recent departures of members Richard Turbeville and Lech, Through The Eyes Of The Dead has recruited two members for their upcoming tour dates. The band has tapped My Bitter End drummer Michael Ranne in addition to guitarist Hank (of Anyone But You) to join them on the road until they can nail down permanent replacements.

Through The Eyes Of The Dead Loses Guitarist Again
Guitarist Richard Turbeville, who rejoined Through The Eyes Of The Dead in October, has apparently quit the group again. He will now focus on his other band, From Graves Of Valor. Turbeville had the following to say:
"It was nothing personal against any of those guys and I don’t hate them. I just have too many other things going on in my life right now that are more important to me. Plus musically, I feel that I fit in much better playing in Graves of Valor. Me and those dudes go way back and I feel like everything is more solid playing with them. Anyways, so that's what I chose to do."
Since dropping off the Throwdown and Soilwork tour earlier this month, it appears that Through The Eyes Of The Dead has also lost the services of recent recruit, drummer Lech, though nothing formal has been announced with regard to either him or Turbeville.
TTEOTD Leave Throwdown, Soilwork Tour
South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD has dropped off "The Scum Of The Earth Tour" featuring headliners THROWDOWN alongside SOILWORK and WAR OF AGES. "We're sorry to inform you but we can no longer continue on the THROWDOWN/SOILWORK tour due to some bad luck on our behalf," the band said in a statement. "We'll see you guys next tour!"
THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD recently parted ways with Josh Kulick (drums) and Nate Johnson (vocals). Their temporary replacements are drummer Lech, formerly of AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, and vocalist Lou Tanius, who has previously put time in with ON PATHS OF TORMENT and INVOCATION OF NEHEK.
Continuing to promote the band's recent release, "Malice", THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD has toured alongside ALL THAT REMAINS, HASTE THE DAY, THE RED CHORD, DESPISED ICON, ALL SHALL PERISH, SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY as well as headlined a U.S. run with AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, BENEATH THE MASSACRE and ION DISSONANCE.
Soilwork Drummer Checks In
SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren, who recently laid down the drum tracks on NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane's new solo album ("Praises To The War Machine"), has issued the following update:
"Right now I'm tearing up them drums with SOILWORK alongside THROWDOWN, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and WAR OF AGES just about everywhere in the U.S. Yessireee, the Scum Of The Earth Tour is a heavy-ass package to say the least! If you wanna feel that metal fist crack your skull, better get your tickets now on the SOILWORK website or MySpace — be fast while supplies last!
"And now for something quite exclusive and fancy: [Here] you can discover the artwork for the upcoming Warrel Dane album 'Praises To The War Machine'! Soilwork Cancel Tonight's Show In Dallas, Texas
SOILWORK has been forced to cancel their Dallas appearance this evening at The Door with THROWDOWN, THROUGHT THE EYES OF THE DEAD and WAR OF AGES. The following statement was given on behalf of the band by their tour manager:
“Soilwork regret missing the show but the weather conditions prevented us from making the near 700 mile drive to the show from our previous night's headline show. We were stopped by an ice storm that nearly caused our bus to crash in the middle of the night. The roads could not be travelled. We are currently stranded in western Texas where there was an ice storm last night and everything is covered in ice. It actually started in New Mexico and I am surprised we even got this far. The roads are not drivable. They are all iced over and all cars and trucks are pulled off until they thaw. Being we are still close to 500 miles away and the temperature is not due to rise for hours our driver won't drive. The wind is strong and the bus was literally sliding off the highway with all the ice and we were only driving 15 mph. Last night we almost flipped the bus trying to navigate these roads and the bus actually turned sideways sliding down causing it to almost flip over. Looks like it snows in Texas when the Swedes come over here. Very rare.“
