Helsinki, Finland-based metallers IMPERANON have called it a day. A statement at their MySpace reads as follows:
"Sadly, the guys from Imperanon have decided to call it a day and lay the band to rest. I think I speak for many people when I wish them all the best for whatever path they may choose to follow in the future. R.I.P. - The Great Imperanon (1999 - 2007)."
Finnish melodic thrash/death metallers IMPERANON have uploaded several audio samples from their recently completed five-song demo at their official web site. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

IMPERANON recently parted ways with bassist Eki Nurmikari and replaced him with Aki Hopeasaari. The group's current lineup is as follows:

IMPERANON's debut album, "Stained", was released in May 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios with engineer Nino Laurenne and producer Titus Hjelm and was mixed at Finnvox studios with Mikko Karmila.
Imperanon, Finish Melodic Death metallers, have started writing songs for their new album. So far, four tracks are already finished. The follow-up record to the band's debut "Stained" – released in May 2004 – is supposed to show up in late 2005.
Finland's Imperanon have parted ways with guitarist Lauri Koskenniemi. Lauri decided to quit Imperanon to focus on his other band, Crystal Blaze, according to a posting on the group's web site. A replacement for Koskenniemi has aleady been found in the shape of Teemu Mäntysaari.

The group, whose members range in age from 17 to 24, will continue work on the as-yet-untitled CD in January for a tentative May/June 2004 release through Nuclear Blast Records.
