Impaled, Aborted, Malignancy Tour Dates

Impaled, Malignancy, Aborted, and Leng Tch'e will be doing a mini- tour on the east coast before all, except Malignancy, go on to the Maryland Death Fest. Dates are as follows:

May 25 - Cambridge, MA @ The Middle East w/ Kevorkian's Angels
May 26 - Philadelphia, PA @ The Khyber w/ Syzlak
May 27 - Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY @ North Six w/ Digested Flesh, Fecal Corpse, Dethroned

Impaled will be touring in support of their new album, "Life After Death", due out through Century Media Records. Aborted will be touring in support of their new album, "The Archaic Archaic Abattoir", due out through Olympic Recordings/Century Media.

Doom And Grind Fest Update

NotCommon Records have released the lineup for the Doom and Grind Fest, scheduled for July 16 and 17, 2005. Originally slated to occur in Boston, the festival will now take place at The Living Room (23 Rathbone Street) in Providence, Rhode Island. Tickets are $12 a day or $20 for a two day pass.

Shroud Of Bereavement Live Report

Aah, imagine my delight when I found out Shroud Of Bereavement were playing at Dee Dee's in Quincy, MA on Jan. 28th. I first heard them a few months ago through samples posted on their website and have been waiting to catch them live ever since. This was a long awaited fresh breeze of doom as opposed to the hardcore- infested New England scene. Being primarily a doom metal fan, I was quite elated to attend the show.

I'd never heard or seen any of the supporting bands so I didn't know what to expect. Fortunately, the whole evening turned out to be very gratifying as all 4 bands pretty much encompassed the range of my musical tastes. More...
