Dawn Of Azazel Announce More Shows
New Zealand death metal band Dawn of Azazel has issued an update following the band’s Australian and New Zealand tour with Deicide:
“Presently we are recuperating, nursing our livers and catching up on sleep after returning from our Australian/New Zealand tour with Deicide. This has definitely been the most enjoyable and sickest tour we have been a part of. We played to over 3,600 people over the six shows, the crowd reaction was exceptional, and it was amazing exposure for us across the Tasman. We would like to send out 666 brutal hails and thanks to Soundworks touring for hooking us up, as well as out tour mates in Furor, Ulcerate, and, most importantly, Terrorust for all their help with musical matters and the consumption of alcohol. Last but not least we would like to thank Glen, Ralph, Steve, and Jack for being cool cunts to drink with on this tour. We hope to party with you guys again soon!”
Another major international tour in support of their latest release, “Sedition,” will be announced soon.
Live dates are as follow:
01/20/07 Sat. Valve, Wellington
01/27/07 Sat. Kings Arms, Auckland
02/03/07 Sat. Jet Set Lounge, Christchurch
02/17/07 Sat. The Studio, Auckland (with Suffocation)

Dawn Of Azael Comments On U.S. Tour
New Zealand-based death/grind outfit DAWN OF AZAZEL, who recently completed the Decades of Death 2006 U.S. tour alongside VITAL REMAINS, INCANTATION, and SIN OF ANGELS, has issued the following update:
"Our first shows in the U.S. were defintely amoungst the best we have ever played. We were defintely humbled by the response from the crowds on this tour. Despite what we had been told to expect, the crowds in the U.S. have been killer and very apprecative! A special thanks goes out to everyone who came out and supported us and and to everyone who put us up at their place or let us sleep on their floor on this tour - much appreciated! Brutal hails to VITAL REMAINS, INCANTATION, and SIN OF ANGELS for being such killer tour partners and John Mcentee and Taylor Touring for the opportunity! We can't wait to get back as soon as we are able!
"We are currently taking a short break but we have a one-off headline show on the 22nd of July at Hysteria in Auckland and are currently working out the details for our second Australian tour for 'Sedition' later this year. The second pressing of 'Sedition' will be released in September and will feature a bonus video for the track 'The Road to Babalon' and with recieve full distribution in the U.S. and Canada through RED."
DAWN OF AZAZEL's second studio effort, "Sedition", was released in March via Ibex Moon Records. The CD contains nine tracks of the band's "most brutal and vicious material to date," according to a press release.

New Zealand-based Black/Death outfit DAWN OF AZAZEL have announced the addition of drummer Martin Cavanagh to the group's ranks.
