Prosthetic Records has announced the signing of Syracuse, NY’s UNHOLY to the Los Angeles-based label’s ranks. Currently writing material for the band’s second full-length record, the forthcoming effort will be the follow-up to the band’s debut, "Blood Of The Medusa," which saw a June 2007 release through Lambgoat Records.
“We're really excited to share our future with Prosthetic Records, I think we'll fit well with their roster of already great bands,” UNHOLY guitarist Jonathan Dennison says. “We've been hard at work writing new material for our upcoming record with the addition of Billy Price on vocals, slated for spring of 2009. To say the least, this record will be very innovative and hard hitting...for extreme music fans everywhere!”
Featuring members of Path of Resistance, Another Victim, Godbelow, and Santa Sangre, UNHOLY most recently added Price to its ranks and the as-yet untitled effort will be the vocalist’s recording debut with the band. Two pre-production tracks are available on the band’s official MySpace page, while UNHOLY will enter Syracuse's Moresound Studios (Ed Gein) in November to record the forthcoming effort. More...

Jonathan recently joined The Acacia Strain as their 2nd guitarist for the band’s headlining fall tour, adding to his impressive resume which also includes Path Of Resistance, Another Victim, Santa Sagre, and of course Unholy.

Path of Resistance (featuring founding members of Earth Crisis) will be flying out to California for four shows in November. The first date announced is Saturday, November 4th at The Showcase Theatre in Corona, CA with First Blood, xDeathstarx and Force of Change. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, but can be purchased directly at the Showcase Theatre box office immediately.
Syracuse NY's UNHOLY (ex-The Promise, Path Of Resistance, etc.) has signed with Silent Stagnation Recores for the release of their debut EP "Awaken The Sleep" in Europe with a bonus track and as digipack. The (metallic) hardcore band features current and former members of The Promise, Santa Sangre, God Below, When Tigers Fight, Another Victim and Path Of Resistance and offer their own blend of heavy hard-hitting hardcore.
"We're pretty excited about working with Silentstagnation Records. After talking with Marcel about Unholy I was very impressed about his enthusiasm towards this release. Get ready, ... soon we will shred Europe!" says guitarist and main songwriter Jonathan Dennison.

A re-formed Path Of Resistance will be releasing a new album in 2006. The outfit, which was formed by members of Earth Crisis, released an album in 1996 prior to disbanding. The group will enter Castle Recording Studios in Utica, NY in early-December to record a new album. The effort is tentatively slated for an April release via Victory Records.
If you're unaware of the show taking place on January 2nd in Henrietta, NY, then you may want to pay attention. The New Years Hardcore 2005 show taking place on January 2nd at the xDreamsx Skatepark in Henrietta, NY, will benefit Adele Collins and will feature some notable performances, including Path Of Resistance, and Damnation A.D. reunion. Damnation A.D. will play with their original lineup, excluding their drummer who will be on tour with another band. Doors will open at 12 noon, and tickets will cost $20 at the door (no advance tickets). The following bands are slated to perform:
