Bleed the Sky "Murder the Dance" Recording Update
Bleed the Sky post and update on their recording efforts, "We have been extremely busy and focused on the progress of the [second Bleed The Sky] album. We finished all the guitars, bass, and drums for the album last week. We are currently working on all the vocal tracks at Christian's [guitarist/producer Christian Olde Wolbers of Fear Factory] studio. Everything sounds fucking awesome, and we are stoked for everyone to hear the new material. We will be planning to release track that we will release for everyone to hear in the near future. The album title will be 'Murder The Dance', featuring 12 tracks, (as opposed to the previous blog we released a month back), and is slated for a fall release. Also on this album we had a good and long time friend of the band, Jeremy Hall, come in for guest vocals for a track. He is the vocalist for the southern California metal band Audkik, who have played multiple shows and drank great amounts of alcohol with us for years, and we have always been fans of their sound. We saw fit to have him come in and he did a great fucking job."
Bleed The Sky's debut album, 'Paradigm in Entropy', was released in 2005 on Nuclear Blast Records.
Bleed The Sky Announce New Second Guitarist
As the final addition to their new line-up, BLEED THE SKY has brought in Rob Thornton to take the place of Wayne Miller on guitar. Thornton played alongside current second BLEED THE SKY guitarist Dave Culbert in the metal band Brotherhood based out of San Antonio, Texas. Thornton and Culbert make a lethal duo that will be contributing heavily to the new BLEED THE SKY as-yet-untitled record to be produced by Fear Factory's Christian Olde Wolbers.
One of the unavoidable after-effects of the illness Miller suffered while on BLEED THE SKY's Summer Of Sin tour with Dope in 2006 was significant nerve damage to his left hand. He is currently undergoing physical therapy in Orange County, California, and has been told that he can expect a complete recovery within six to eight months. In the meantime, Miller will be co-managing the band alongside Archetype Management and will still take an active role in BLEED THE SKY-related business decisions and negotiations.
The following is a statement from Wayne Miller:
"Rob Thornton is by far the best pick for BLEED THE SKY. I don't feel that anyone else can fill this position better than him. He is a phenomenal guitar player and a true brother to me and the rest of the guys. The BLEED THE SKY guys are my family and the band is my life, but due to the injuries that I suffered while on the Dope tour, I cannot perform with them right now, so I have to step back and do what is best for the band. In the meantime, I am going to assist in managing them to stay involved with 'the family business.' I am just very fortunate to still be alive."
Bleed The Sky Announces New Guitarist
Bleed The Sky has officially announced the addition of guitarist David Culbert to their line-up. Culbert replaces Kyle Moorman, who left the band this past summer. Here's a statement from the group:
"We just want to start by thanking everyone from the bottom of our hearts for showing so much enthusiasm and interest in the guitar auditions. It was not by any means an easy decision to make, there were so many amazing guitarists sending us some of the most bizarre and creative guitar work we have ever heard. We have been fortunate to find in our opinion one of the best unrecognized metal guitarists around, David Culbert. David is formerly of the band Brotherhood, true metal motherfuckers from the heart of Texas, San Antonio. We would like to thank them eternally for their support and willingness to offer the services of Dave, and you can check them out at www.myspace.com/brotherhood. Overall, we know that Dave is going to bring an element of metal to this band that we believe was otherwise unattainable. The following is a statement from Dave on coming into this project headstrong!
I am very thrilled to be the new guitarist for Bleed the Sky. I've been playing guitar since the age of 9, so I'm going on eighteen years now. All my life I've wanted to spread my music to the masses, and now the chance is here. I am fully prepared to bring BTS all that I have learned through the years and my experiences. Plus, create the most mind-blowing, in-your-face fucking metal I know all of you have been waiting for. See you at the show, Dave (BTS).
Our rhythym guitarist Wayne Miller is still on the upward battle to full recovery. He's still experiencing what doctor's can only explain as minor nerve damage in his left hand due to his hospitalization back in June of this year. Wayne will still be fully participating on our upcoming record, and we all need to keep him in our prayers during this difficult recovery.
In other news we've already begun work on new material for our sophomore record, which we are still on schedule to release in late spring or early summer of 2007. With all the new changes that we've been going through, our momentum has never been stronger. We're as energized as we've ever been and with the new album, comes new beginnings. Stay strong BTS fans, and we'll be posting new info as it becomes available to us. See all of you crazy fucks on the road soon!"
Bleed The Sky Guitarist Departs
Bleed The Sky guitarist Kyle Moorman has officially left the band. Vocalist Noah Robinson has issued the following statement:
"Kyle Moorman has officially left the band to pursue other elements of the music business. He has plans to be involved in studio production and engineering and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. We are in the midst of looking for a new lead guitarist, and are accepting open submissions. If you would like to audition, we will need some vital information. We require at least 3 full songs (MP3 formats preferred), pictures (both live and personal), and personal goals for your future in music. You can send all of this information to bleedtheskytryouts@yahoo.com. Do not attempt to contact us any further on the matter after the initial submission. Each submission will be thoroughly looked into, and those that qualify will be notified of further auditions. Also we are currently working on preproduction for our follow-up record on Nuclear Blast. We're set to hit the studio in December to record and shooting for early summer for our release date. We will see you guys all soon and thank you all so much for the love youve shown our band over the last solid year of touring. See you all on the road soon!"

Bleed The Sky Guitarist Recovers, Band Touring
Having recovered from a diagnosis of severe pneumonia compounded by an unknown viral infection, BLEED THE SKY guitarist Wayne Miller is in stable enough condition for his band mates to re-join the Dope tour on June 30th in Philadelphia. They will be performing as a four-piece.
Following his June 18th performance in Louisville, Kentucky, Miller was rushed to a nearby hospital with a high fever. Encouraging his bandmates to continue with the tour, Miller stayed behind, but his condition worsened. After his admission into the Intensive Care Unit, family members flew out from California and BLEED THE SKY dropped off the Dope tour two nights later to drive 15 hours to be by his side. It appears this outpouring of moral support greatly aided Miller's recovery.
"You're not gonna believe what the second thing was that Wayne said after he got off the respirator," reported BLEED THE SKY bassist Daylen 'Disco' Elsey with relieved laughter. "Well, the first thing he said was, 'I'm really tired.' The second thing he said was, 'So what are we gonna do about the two shows that we missed?' Can you believe that?! [laughter] The guy almost dies and he's worried about the shows he missed!"
"We're trying to keep the dying to a minimum on this tour," joked BLEED THE SKY guitarist Kyle Moorman.
"We all took shifts watching him," continued Elsey. "He kept trying to take the tubes out of this nose, but we wouldn't let him. For some crazy reason, he thought we were gonna kick him out of the band 'cause he got sick. Yeah, right. We're gonna finish out the tour with Kyle covering all the guitar work 'cause we know he wants us to, but there's no way he's outta the band. He's irreplaceable."
With Miller now in stable condition, the four-piece BLEED THE SKY will play the remaining 22 shows on the Jagermeister-sponsored Summer Of Sin Tour headlined by Dope.
States the band, "We really wanna thank everyone for their support through this whole situation. The online posts, the text messages, the phone calls. They all helped us stay positive for Wayne."
Well-wishers can post comments on BLEED THE SKY's MySpace site.

Bleed The Sky Offers Update From The Road
Bleed The Sky guitarist Kyle Moorman offers this update from the road while on the Jagermeister-sponsored tour with Ill Niño, God Forbid, Silent Civilian and Eyes Of Fire:
"This is the BEST tour we've been on! We've done two shows in New York City and Boston and both nights were awesome. We're always pushing ourselves to be better, to find new stuff to do on-stage, to give it our all for our live shows, and crowds like that definitely give us the energy we need to do that! Cristian [Machado, lead singer for Ill Niño] has watched our set every night. It's very flattering to have someone appreciating our music like that, and we're still on the road with our great friends in Silent Civilian. They REALLY helped us out when the transmission on our van blew up in Albuquerque by taking a lot of our gear in their trailer so we could make it home. I'll say it again: This is the BEST tour we've been on!"
Bleed The Sky Announce Warmup Shows
Cristian Machado, lead vocalist for the bilingual Latino metal sextet Ill Niño, cites Orange County's BLEED THE SKY as one of his favorite bands and has hand-picked them to join the Jagermeister-sponsored "One Nation Undivided" spring tour. Also on the bill are God Forbid, Silent Civilian (featuring former Spineshank frontman Jonny Santos), and Eyes Of Fire.
BLEED THE SKY vocalist Noah Robinson has this to say about the upcoming 28-city trek: "We're all fans of Ill Niño. They're really one of our favorites, and getting to watch them every night, well, we'll be sure to take notes on their live show! [laughter]"
Guitarist Wayne Miller would also like to add the following: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, our tour dates in the Northwest this past week were re-routed due to this upcoming tour with Ill Niño. We had to cancel our shows in Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, and Idaho Falls. We promise to make them up to all and we hope to be there again very soon. On the otherhand, we are very excited about going on the Jagermeister Presents Tour in May/June with such great bands as Ill Niño, God Forbid, Eyes of Fire, and our brothers in Silent Civilian. It will be an honor sharing the stage with them. We will be doing a short headlining run of warm-up dates with Silent Civilian and Eyes Of Fire on our way out to the Ill Niño tour."

American Head Charge Cancel Remaining Tour Dates
AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE have cancelled three weeks' worth of dates on their current tour following their Nov. 13 performance in Atlanta. The group's next appearance will take place on December 8 in Omaha, Nebraska. A statement from the band is expected soon.
As previously reported, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE will be teaming up with SOIL and PANIC CELL for a European tour beginning in late January.
AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE's rescheduled benefit show for the family of former AHC guitarist Bryan Ottoson — who died in April from a prescription drug overdose while the group was on tour with MUDVAYNE — took place on October 7 at First Ave. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band were forced to postpone the originally announced Aug. 27 gig "due to an emergency hand surgery needed for bassist Chad Hanks."
The cancellation of dates comes on the heels of Diecast dropping off the tour due to their drummer departing unexpectedly and Bleed The Sky having their trailer full of equipmnent stolen.

Diecast Drop Off Tour After Drummer Sneaks Off
Boston-based metallers DIECAST have been forced to drop off the U.S. tour with AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, INDEX CASE and BLEED THE SKY following the apparent departure of drummer Jason Costa. The band have issued the following statement on the matter:
"To our fans and friends: We apologize for dropping off the AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE tour. AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, INDEX CASE and BLEED THE SKY were the best tourmates that we could have asked for. The tour was going amazingly and our fans came out in force to support us. We even made the best of the only dud of a show in Cleveland by closing the bar. Together with the rest of our tourmates a few old friends and Matt and Kevin from CHIMAIRA, we nearly drank the place dry. The problem came the next day on a day off we had in Nashville. We (Kirk, Jeremy, Paul and Jon) aren't really sure what happened. It all started with an argument about Brendan Fraser's acting skills, (mature, huh?) and ended with a valued member of the DIECAST family (Jason) sneaking off onto a bus in the middle of the night without explanation or warning. Needless to say we are all devastated, saddened and disappointed. We always considered Jason to be one of the nicest guys in the band and obviously an amazing musician, phenomenal drummer and most importantly a friend. We aren't sure why he left, but when we know more we will make everyone privy to the information. The rest of us would like to apologize to our label, our manager, our agents, the rest of the bands on the tour and most importantly our fans."
DIECAST's latest album, "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies", continues to garner critical acclaim led by the strength of the hit singles "Medieval" and "Rise and Oppose", which remains in heavy rotation on both "Metal Asylum" and "Headbanger's Ball". The disc will officially be reissued early next year with a new track, a cover version of SLAYER's "Raining Blood", new artwork and video clips.
