Necrophobic Enter The Studio

Necrophobic have posted this message on their official website:

"Today, we started the recording of the new, fifth full length album. We will try to run a regular update regarding the progress of the recording process right here on the website. No titles of either the album or any songs will be released at this moment, but as soon as it's time for it, you will get the information here.
There are a lot of new things happening right now. The studio we're using for this album is a total unknown studio. It's called Dark Voodoo Studio and we will work with new persons as well. The engineering parts will be done by Anders Bentell and Fredrik Folkare (the later known for being guitarist and producer of Unleashed).
Apart from that, we will also have a new record label for this new album. We recently ended the deal of any forthcoming new albums with Karmageddon Media (ex Hammerheart Records). More revelaling stuff regarding this matter later on, as well as a possible release schedule/release date."

Necrophobic Hold Competition For Fans

Necrophobic want fans to record their own version of an original Necrophobic song. It can be professional recorded or just recorded directly in your rehearsal room/studio. It doesn't matter, as long as the sound is audible. The rules are:

A recording of an original Necrophobic song (on a CD, mp3 or a regular cassette).
The name of your band or project. (If you have a logo, send it as well.)
The names of all members in the band or project and what instruments they play.
A photo of the band.
Contact address (e-mail or regular mail). Website address, if you have one.

Send your digital material to (like mp3, jpg-photo etc.): info@necrophobic.net.
or send your CD or cassette and regular paper photo to: Joakim Sterner / Necrophobic / Körsbärsvägen 12 / 114 23 Stockholm / Sweden.
Mark your entries, e-mail or regular mail, with "Competition".

Deadline: December 23, 2005

The band will decide on the winner. The winning entry will get Necrophobic t-shirts to all members in the band or project, their entry published as a mp3 here on the website along with the name of the band or project, names of the members and your photo.

Necrophobic Back From Sweden, Work On New Album

Necrophobic has posted this message on their official website:

We're back in Stockholm, Sweden again after an intense weekend in Germany at the Party San festival. We would like to thank all staff for taking such good care of us and for great hospitality. BUT most of all, thanks to the great audience! This was our third appearance on Party San and this was clearly the best response. We will most likely come back. Maybe sooner than you think. We also want to send out greetings to all we met during the weekend (fans, press, bands) and extra greetings to all that came to our signing session. Our hands still ache...

Note: Those of you that took photos of us, wherever, whenever...don't forget to send them to us to be published here on the website under the Fanzone section.

Now starts the new beginning for the band. We will now focus on to write the final pieces of music and lyrics for the upcoming recording of our 5th studio album. Most of the material is already written, but needs to be rehearsed. People attending to the Party San festival got the chance to hear one of the new songs, called "Blinded by Light, Enlightened by Darkness" and we can say that most of the new material will be in that way. The recording studio is not decided yet, but most likely, we'll be doing a test recording in an "unknown" studio, for the metal scene, that is.

There are more news to come withing short, so stay "tuned"...
