Malevolent Creation Founder In New Project

Apocalypse Rising members Alex Marquez (ex-Malevolent Creation, Demolition Hammer, Solstice) and Dennis Munoz (ex-Solstice) have teamed up with Malevolent Creation founder Phil Fasciana and former Malevolent Creation drummer Gus Rios in an as-yet-unnamed new band. Alex will be handling the vocal duties in this project. Phil and Alex will be reuniting for the first time in ten years and are both said to be "anxious to hear what happens."

In related news, Apocalypse Rising have completed work on their debut demo and are currently seeking a record deal. The quartet, whose lineup is completed by second guitarist Willy Medina and bass player Mike Marabell, play a style of music described as "power metal/early '80s thrash." Marquez is handling the vocal duties in the band and is recording all the drum tracks in the studio (the group plan to utilize a session drummer for live performances). Songtitles featured on the demo are as follows: "Rise for the Cause", "Apocalypse Rising" and "One for Tommorow".
