Eulogy Reforms and Set To Record

After a long hiatus, founding member Jarrett Pritchard has invoked the core trio of Tampa's now legendary death metal outfit EULOGY. Rejoined by Jason Avery, who spent many years fronting MONSTROSITY and drummer Clayton Gore of St. Louis' HARKONIN, the band is set to record a new album beginning on September 6 in Orlando with Jarrett at the controls.

Commented Jarrett: "At this point I have completed eight songs for the record and it promises not to dissapoint. On bass we have enlisted Mike Pogionne of MONSTROSITY/LECHEROUS NOCTURNE and at this time second guitar duties will be filled by none other than longtime friend Rob Barrett (CANNIBAL CORPSE, HATE PLOW, MALEVOLENT CREATION, SOLSTICE). At this point we have not approached any labels about the release and we intend to have the cap on it December 15, 2007 for an early 2008 release."

Terrorizer Signs To Century Media Records

Recently re-formed legendary grindcore pioneers TERRORIZER, have signed to Century Media Records worldwide. Released in 1989, the bands highly acclaimed and influential debut album "World Downfall" (Earache Records) took the metal scene by storm. With an as yet unheard of aggression the band became a cult institution even though they quickly disbanded. Following the break up the main founding members, drummer Pete Sandoval and guitarist Jesse Pintado, moved on to join legendary extreme bands Morbid Angel and Napalm Death respectively.

The band remained popular through the next 16 years with newer acts citing inspiration from "World Downfall." The massive amount of available bootleg recordings and band merchandise as well as rumours of a follow-up album kept TERRORIZER’s name alive. Now, after what might seem like an eternity of silence, the band have signed a worldwide deal with Robert Kampf, owner of Century Media. Sondoval and Pintado have already started working on a new studio album, to be recorded early 2006 in Florida with producer Juan “Punchy” Gonzalez (Morbid Angel, Unholy Ghost, Christian Death, Diet of Worms etc.) for a summer 2006 release.

“After long negotiations with several labels, it’s official: TERRORIZER and World Management are happy to announce the new album will be on Century Media,” commented the band.

Introducing themselves to the TERRORIZER fold are guitarist Tony Norman (MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY) and vocalist Tony Militia (RESISTANT CULTURE). Many people have asked why Oscar Garcia (NAUSEA) and David Vincent (MORBID ANGEL) are not returning. Simply put, Oscar is no longer interested in TERRORIZER and wants to focus on his own band NAUSEA.

Regarding what the fans can expect from the group's long-awaited new release, Pintado said, "It will be different but in the TERRORIZER vein." There are reportedly talks of introducing classical piano parts, industrial noise parts and chants on the new record. A 13-minute-plus song is in the works as well as some of the fastest drumming ever put to tape.

Morbid Angel Guitarist Tony Norman Still Missing

MONSTROSITY drummer Lee Harrison has issued the following update regarding missing MORBID ANGEL/MONSTROSITY guitarist Tony Norman:

"After returning from the last MORBID ANGEL tour, Tony was supposed to have some 'down time' from MORBID ANGEL and we talked about getting together to write some new MONSTROSITY material. I called him several times after the tour and always got no answer. I just presumed he was busy and didn't think too much of it. A few weeks go by and I'm still trying him with no answer... Next, I get a call from David Vincent [MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist], who is concerned, saying he hasn't heard from Tony. At this point I still think he is probably just 'off doing his thing.' Well, another week goes by and Tony is supposed to leave with MORBID to do this Portugal show and Vincent says he still hasnt heard anything and now it's getting really strange. We ask all of his close friends and no one has seen or heard from him. We've called his family, gone to his girlfriend's place of work (she is missing, too, and she doesn't work there anymore), checked hospitals, jails, we've gone to places where he might hang out and no one has seen him. It's just not like him to vanish like that. More...

Morbid Angel Member Is "Missing"

The following message was sent out by GENITORTURERS frontwoman Gen and MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist David Vincent regarding missing MORBID ANGEL guitarist Tony Norman:

"MORBID ANGEL are scheduled to fly to Portugal this Wednesday for a huge festival. As of today, no one has seen or heard from Tony Norman, MORBID ANGEL's rhythm guitarist, who also used to play in the band MONSTROSITY.

He was last seen by us at our friends wedding when him and his girlfriend were seated at our table. This was well over a month ago and no one has had contact with him since that we can determine.

We have contacted many of his friends, parents etc... no one has heard from him We think that he has recently moved within Tampa to a new place… No one seems to know where and none of his phone numbers are working…. so no one at this point is able to reach him.

At this point David and the rest of the MORBID ANGEL crew are really worried about him as it is not like him to be out of touch. A missing person's report has been filed.

If you know him or anyone that has contact with him… please help us contact anyone you know who might also know him or his girlfriend."
