As I Lay Dying Back On The Road In 2008
Gearing up for another relentless touring schedule in 2008, As I Lay Dying are not waiting long after the New Year to get back on the road. The January 2008 leg of their acclaimed AN OCEAN BETWEEN US tour will feature a fresh crop of opening bands - August Burns Red, Evergreen Terrace and Still Remains - and will continue to bring their genuine brand of fist-pumping metal to a theatre near you. The outing will begin on January 10th in Las Vegas, NV and will continue on through February 1 in Omaha, NE.
A video was recently completed for the band's new track "The Sound Of Truth." The clip, a sequel to the story in the video for "Nothing Left," was filmed in Los Angeles while the band was between tours. It was directed by Brian Thompson and is slated to debut in January on MTV2's Headbangers Ball.
Guitarist, Phil Sgrosso says of the upcoming trek "2008 is going to be a very busy year for us and there's no better way to start it off than with a US headline tour. We'll be hitting a lot of cities that we haven't played for a while and we're bringing along our friends in August Burns Red, Evergreen Terrace, and Still Remains. This is going to be an exciting tour for us and all of our fans, I can't wait."
Tickets for the dates below will go on sale on Friday Nov-23.

Still Remains To Film Cooking With Church Series
Grand Rapids, MI-based band STILL REMAINS are set to tape an exclusive Cooking With Church series for national food chain Qdoba Mexican Grill in the band's home state. The mock cooking show, which was created by the always energetic six-piece, showcases the band's guitarist/vocalist Mike Church who is an avid chef and all of the shenanigans that go along with the Still Remains crew.
The band has been asked to tape six episodes of the YouTube hit series for Qdoba Mexican Grill. Church will be using Qdoba's always fresh and tasty ingredients and working his magic to create one damn fine burrito. Still Remains are asking fans to come out and be a part of the taping during the taste test portion of the shoot. To get a free Qdoba burrito and be a part of cooking show history, fans will need to be one of the first 20 people to arrive at the store at 9:30pm on Saturday, November 3rd. The 20 lucky fans will get to indulge in a one of a kind burrito with a Church twist and will be filmed for the ‘taste test' segment of the show!
Still Remains Frontman Talks About Going Melodic
Stephanie Stevens, aka “Romperchic”, of THE DAILY ROCK recently had the chance to chat with frontman TJ Miller of STILL REMAINS before their show at The Palladium in Worcester MA during the band’s tour with AIDEN. T.J. was a bit broken from an exciting night onstage in Chicago where he badly hurt his foot, so Mr. T.J. “Cane” Miller hobbled to his van to discuss his personal lyrics, how he approaches his career as a singer and to give some incite on the new album THE SERPENT.
TJ, on his approach to the vocals during the writing & recording explains “I think that with this album it was more figuring out who we are but at the same time, instead of us saying we want to change this, we want to change that, it wasn’t like that, it was just us growing as musicians and singers. So, it’s one of those things where I’ve sang my whole life and I’m very passionate about singing but I’ve never had the opportunity to sing a lot with STILL REMAINS. This is my only band as I don’t have any side projects at all, so it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, in the past we haven’t really written the music where I could really experiment. This time around, the things that they were writing were more melodic and more suggestive that I could sing, so I saw a great opportunity for myself and I went for it.”

Still Remains Give Studio Update
Still Remains are hard at work recording their 2nd studio album, tentatively titled The Serpent, in Los Angeles with producer, Steve Evets (Story of the Year, He Is Legend, Saves the Day). Here's the latest update on their proigress from vocalist T.J. Miller:
"OK...here is what's going on: I'm totally freaking out. Listening back to these songs right now is so invigorating. Bone is finished on drums. Mike and Jordan are about 7 or 8 songs in. Mike and I just started working on some vocals last night...getting the levels right. Its all coming together so well.
"I just wanted to get everyone an update and let you know that all is well in the studio. We have been laying almost dormant from the public eye for so long and we can't wait to see everyone on the road again. Tour plans are in the works for this year, so stay tuned for more updates. See you soon."
Still Remains Begin Recording "The Serpent"
Still Remains have been hard at work for the last 9 months writing and preparing for their 2nd studio album tentatively titled The Serpent. On January 21st the band entered an LA studio with acclaimed producer, Steve Evets (Story of the Year, He Is Legend, Saves the Day), to begin the recording process. "It's been a long wait for us," comments band front man, TJ Miller. "It's such a refreshing feeling to finally be in the studio again, working on all the material we have been writing for the past year. But our patience is now, finally paying off. We have been in LA for the past 2 weeks working on pre-production, and the drums are almost finished. The Serpent is a lot darker, and more honest of an album as we have ever written. Expect the unexpected as these songs are faster, darker, heavier, and more melodic than anything we have ever written as a band."
The album is slated for a Summer '07 release but the band won't be waiting until then to hit the road. Expect to see Still Remains on tour in early spring and continuing the worldwide conquest throughout the year into 2008. "We feel that it is very important for the entire world to hear this record," says Miller, "This album is going to be monumental, so we plan on touring on it until our bodies quit functioning."
Throughout the recording process Still Remains will be filming and posting photos and videos for podcasts.
