The Great Deceiver Signs To Deathwish Inc.
The Great Deceiver has officially signed with Deathwish Inc. for the release of their new album.
The Great Deceiver are the vision of vocal legend Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates, Disfear, etc) and longtime friend Kristian Wahlin (Necrolord), visual artist to legendary bands At The Gates, Dissection, etc. They formed the band just after the demise of At The Gates in 1999.
The Great Deceiver have constantly evolved since their inception, progressing past the trends of the day, they have made a career of defying limiting classifications. With releases on labels as diverse as Trustkill Records (Bleeding Through, This Is Hell, etc.) and Peaceville Records (Paradise Lost, At The Gates, etc.), they've solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in both the metal and hardcore worlds. Appealing to both scenes lethally and equally as a new kind of aggressive aural amalgamation.
In 2007, The Great Deceiver will release "Life Is Wasted On The Living," their new album on Deathwish. Produced and engineered by Berno Paulsson (The Haunted), "Life Is Wasted On The Living" takes their trend killing approach to new heights. Combining the intensity of hardcore, the power of metal, and the hook laden repetition of industrial, into a new kind of musical apocalypse.
The band are currently putting the finishing touches on the album. In the meantime, check out the unmastered song "Home To Oblivion" here.
Disfear Set To Record New Album

Disfear guitarist Bjorn Pettersson (the band is rounded out by drummer Marcus Andersson, bassist Henke Frykman, vocalist Tomas Lindberg, and former Entombed guitarist Ulf Cederlund) offers: "We are still in a writing process but the album will possibly contain 9 to 10 songs. 10 songs have been demo tracked and are under development now together with Kurt. This will also be our first recording with Ulf on second guitar, even though he has toured with us previously."
