Stöner Streaming Debut Album

"Stoners Rule," the debut album from the new desert rock supergroup Stöner, featuring Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri, will be released tomorrow, Friday, June 25 via Heavy Psych Sounds. Pre-order in North America, and Worldwide. Find an advance album stream below.

Says the band: "Out in the desert where we come from, Punks, Skaters, Metalheads, Hippies and Freaks are all Stoners. We’re all misfits and we don’t like squares and outsiders trying to disrespect our scene. Outsiders might take notice but they take Nothin’."

Brant Bjork’s desert vibe meets the punk attitude of Nick Oliveri and creates an explosive mix and a particular branch of rock. The sound is mellow, but these are the same guys who created the legend of Kyuss, and the Desert-Stoner rock movement which is alive now more than ever. This album is a celebration of the sound of the Desert, driven by the spirit of these incredible musicians and artists. Seven original tracks for this incredible debut album which describes how to ride into the dusty roads of the Mojave Desert where it has all begun. Brant’s vocals give a classic color to the hypnotic-bluesy riffing background.

The release was recorded at The Rad Cabin, Joshua Tree, CA on October 12, 2020 by Yosef Sanborn. Cover art by Branca Studio.

Dee Snider Shares "Time To Choose" Lyric Video

Legendary heavy metal vocalist and pop culture icon Dee Snider recently announced the upcoming release of his triumphant fifth full-length album, "Leave A Scar," out July 30, 2021 via Napalm Records. Once again produced by Jamey Jasta with co-production, mixing and mastering by drummer Nick Bellmore, Leave A Scar sees Dee Snider & Co. continuing in the invigorated, modern direction of his previous release, "For The Love Of Metal," infusing a dose of classic heavy metal flavor that longtime fans will rush to embrace.

Today, following the album's charging first single of resilience, "I Gotta Rock (Again)" (which instantly reached SiriusXM Liquid Metal's Devil's Dozen upon release), Dee Snider is thrilled to reveal the album's second single, "Time To Choose", featuring the brutalizing vocals of Cannibal Corpse’s George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. Backed by an energetic lyric video, the track blends Corpsegrinder’s eviscerating lows with Dee Snider's razor sharp cleans, making for a dynamic yet ruthless burner listeners won’t soon forget!

Dee Snider says about "Time To Choose":
"‘Time To Choose’ deals with a subject I've addressed often over the course of my writing career: good vs. evil (see ‘Burn In Hell’). Given the heaviness of this track, I felt adding George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher's voice to this would drive home the seriousness of the choices we make. I was honored when he agreed to contribute his incredibly powerful voice." More...

Seven Spires Reveals New Album Details

Fronted by the multi-faceted voice of singer Adrienne Cowan, acclaimed US metal quartet Seven Spires return with their third and most ambitious album to date, "Gods Of Debauchery," which is set for release on 10th September via Frontiers Music Srl.

Seven Spires specialise in melancholic tales and tenebrous grandeur. Part apocalyptic yet melodic and anthemic death/black metal exponents, and part Romantic Classical poets, they are storytellers who draw from across the metal spectrum and beyond to weave tragedies of demons, death, love and the peculiarities of the human condition.

Continuing the 'hero’s journey' concept of their two previous albums, "Solveig" (2017) and "Emerald Seas" (2020), the band state that new single ‘Gods Of Debauchery’ became the title track "because it was the perfect exposition for the story and the mindset of our hero: a loathing-laced mockery of who he was in the events of our other albums. He had got everything he ever wanted, but at the cost of his humanity, and there was no way back, no second chance, no way to redeem himself."

As an album, "Gods Of Debauchery" offers a stylistic feast, even within the broad church of metal. Encompassing symphonic, progressive, black and death elements, as well as emotional ballads, it is an exquisite sonic and lyrical journey for all listeners, presenting a band deserving of a place at the forefront of the genre.
