KK's Priest Releases New Music Video

KK's Priest, the band featuring former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing, is ready to unleash the title track of the upcoming release, "Sermons Of The Sinner."

The hard-charging second single from "Sermons Of The Sinner," is available today and features a stunning new music video. In the video for the title track, K.K. is seen regaining his position of strength by re-taking the book of sermons that allows him to fend off the demon that threatens to extinguish our musical legacy. Both storyline and performance can be seen in the clip.

Of "Sermons Of The Sinner," Downing says "The song and title track 'Sermons Of The Sinner' epitomizes the whole album in one just song. It is all-encompassing with its tribute to the history of our beloved genre of music, while updating the details for today’s audience. In the song and video we not only extend our humble gratitude to loyal fans of classic rock and metal but also present a subtle warning about the future of the genre. We are very hopeful that the song and album Sermons of the Sinner will inspire young and older musicians alike to pick up their instruments and keep alive the rock music that so many of us have become a part of, and that has become such a part of us." Osyron Posts New Lyric Video Online

Calgary, Canada’s Osyron is sharing their latest music video "Griefmaker" in support of "Kingsbane: Deluxe Edition" released this past May. The track is one of three rearranged bonus tracks featured on the re-issue of the 2017 album.

"Griefmaker was a song picked for its potential to be re-arranged. It's a very fleshed-out and layered song, and it has very atmospheric sections, but we've always felt that it could do with some extra reinforcement of those moments. We cut the time down on it quite a bit and removed a lot of the heavily symphonic sections to make room for sections where the guitars/arrangements could take a front seat. We feel overall it's a more "mature" and "current" version of this song; if Osyron were writing this now it'd sound more like it does here than it did on the original release." adds the band.

The music video for the bonus version of "Griefmaker", an epic symphonic power prog song can be watched below. More...

Spektra To Release Debut Album In August

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of "Overload," the debut album from Brazilian hard rock act Spektra, who are led by vocalist BJ. The first band he has built from scratch, their music is inspired by influences that include melodic and hard rock masters such as Journey, Foreigner and Winger, while BJ's stated aim is to deliver stadium rock melodies with music aimed straight at the hearts of melodic rock aficionados. Produced and overseen by Jeff Scott Soto and Alessandro Del Vecchio, "Overload" will reinforce BJ's talent and burgeoning reputation on the international scene. The album is set for release on August 6th.

The title track of the record has just been released as a single, with BJ explaining that "the song is about how the internet and the velocity of information is changing people's lives, how we're feeling overloaded and are losing touch with ‘real life’ for the fantasy of social media."

As for the album itself, he continues: "It is very special to me as a singer and at this moment in my career. I love every note and harmony, while these songs also represent the kind of music that I adore. Hard rock, melodic rock, AOR….it’s all there, presented in a modern way. I sang with all my heart and can't wait to perform these songs live! Big fans of Journey, Talisman, Kansas, Boston, Winger, Bon Jovi, Foreigner, W.E.T. and the like will love this album, I guarantee it!"

Spektra sees BJ reunited with bandmates Edu Cominato (drums) and Leo Mancini (guitars) from Tempestt and the JSS Band, as well as featuring producer and composer Henrique Canale (bass). "These guys are amazing musicians that I admire and trust like big brothers, while I also have the best producers ever in Jeff and Alessandro. This is my Dream Team!" adds BJ. More...

Alien Weaponry Reveals New Album Details

The wait is over – international metal stars Alien Weaponry have returned with a vengeance, announcing the release of their fervid upcoming sophomore release, "Tangaroa," out September 17, 2021 via Napalm Records!

Since releasing their acclaimed debut "Tu" (2018), the New Zealanders’ kinetic presence and sound – combining elements of thrash and groove metal with lyrics in the native indigenous language, te reo Maori — has attracted throngs of fans and media supporters across the globe. As with their 2018 single "Kai Tangata" – which has amassed more than 10 million views on YouTube and claimed the number-one spot on SiriusXM Liquid Metal's "Devil’s Dozen" for 13 consecutive weeks – much of Tangaroa is immersed in the historical stories and cultural heritage of the Maori people.

In addition, Tangaroa details stories of personal struggle and growth, as well as crucial environmentalism topics. Witness a first sample of the band’s stirring new music with the album’s colossal title track, "Tangaroa." Accompanied by a gripping music video, the track details the pressing theme of climate change and illegal fishing practices. Through raising this awareness, Alien Weaponry hope to support the important work and efforts of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Lewis de Jong says about the track:
"We decided to write this song about how the ocean is being suffocated by humans and their waste. The ocean is an important part of my life, and it's important to protect it."

Drummer Henry de Jong adds:
"‘Tangaroa’ is a heavy and angry message about how we are destroying the ocean with pollution and overfishing. The video ties in with this message, with us drowning in plastic conveying the struggle of ocean life." More...
