Vomit Forth Reveals New Album Details

Vomit Forth have just announced their signing to Century Media Records. The Connecticut-based Northeast death metal powerhouse are set to release their long-awaited full length, "Seething Malevolence," on July 8.

While the band is known for a sound that borrows from the under appreciated East Coast death metal blueprint belched up from bands like Internal Bleeding and Scattered Remnants, "Seething Malevolence" expands to more experimental and unexpected sounds, refracting the band’s love for the likes of Napalm Death or Full Of Hell.

Already known for their furious live show, sharpened by recent North American touring with labelmates, Frozen Soul and Sanguisugabogg, as well as experimental hardcore legends, Integrity, Vomit Forth’s name has cemented itself into the US extreme metal landscape. More...

Lordi Parts Ways With Guitarist

Finnish costumed rockers Lordi has announced that they have parted company with guitarist Amen (AKA Amen-Ra.) A statement from the guitarist reads as follows:

"My beloved friends, fans and supporters. My heart has never been as heavy as it is today. Never.

"Today is the day that I have to tell you that my guitar has became silent in Lordi. I never thought I'd write these lines, but life happens and people change.

"Half of my life time I gave all for my dream to be a Rock'n'Roll star. From a tiny village in Finland I got to travel the world and play for you. I made my dream come true! And it wouldn't have been possible without the support from all you amazing and crazy people. We shared so many amazing memories, all those live shows, your smiling faces in the crowd, hands on my shoulders, the gifts you gave me, the stories you told me. I will cherish those forever. And I can't thank you enough, for all that you've been giving me. All the love, the support, all of it.

"A journey like this is only possible when you have hard working people around you. A thanks-to-list would be massive, but everyone who worked with me and with the band deserves my endless gratitude. From record labels to booking agencies, from managers to accounting firms, from bus drivers to catering people. Special thanks to our crew - you amazed me every day with your hard working attitude. And extra special thanks to all the guitar techs I worked with. Long days sometimes in very demanding and challenging working conditions - I salute you. Very special thanks also to all my cooperation partners during these 25 years, latest Schecter guitars, Ovation guitars, inTune Gtr picks and S.I.T Gtr strings. I've been blessed to have had a chance to work with so many great people, thank you all. Last but not least, thanks to all the past and present Lordi band members - playing together with you was the best. Let's smile when we meet - cheers!

"I don't know what the future will bring, all I can tell you is that right now I'm relieved, but sad. I'm grateful but unsure where my path will take me. A big chapter of my life has come to an end, but a new one is starting and I can't wait to see what life has to offer for me.

"Let's celebrate what we had together. Let's celebrate Amen-Ra. Who's in?

"So be it, it shall be done, Yours, Amen."

Frontman Mr. Lordi also commented on the departure with the following post: More...

Edge Of Forever Posts New Music Video Online

Hot on the heels of their most recent studio album, Seminole, Edge Of Forever have released a new single and video, "Calling." Watch the video below.

Band mastermind Alessandro Del Vecchio explains: "When we finished Seminole, almost a year ago, we were left with some songs that we simply didn't finish during the recordings because they didn't fit into the bigger concept we had for album. The original plan was to release 'Calling' somewhere during the year, but in the end, we realized we had all these great songs that we wanted to share with our fans. And here we are with the plan of releasing these tracks so that we can extend, somehow, Seminole and give you even more music!

"We've had a great reaction to our last album which led to a 15-show tour in the first four months of the year, while next week we'll get together with our friends and labelmates FM for a few shows in Europe. We strongly feel this is the moment for EOF to push and deliver even greater music and make a bigger impact in the scene with our positivity driven and motivational hard rock. In fact, 'Calling' is a song about finding your purpose, your drive, and what really makes yourself, you. Especially in these tough times, we feel lost and don't know where to find the strength and the values to be able to tell good from evil and be the cause and effect of a better world. It's all about that call, to hear your name and be on the trail of your life.

"We've had the honor of featuring the great Val Monteleone in this video, with an intense Martial Arts training sequence in the snow, showcasing the strength, determination, and mindset behind our actions and will. When I wrote these lyrics I was inspired by Bruce Lee's "Artist Of Life" concept and it felt natural for us to involve a great Martial Arts expert, researcher, and practitioner. I'm sure this song will boost your mindset, help you set your goals, and find even more strength. PMA all day, my friends!" More...

The Troops Of Doom Unveils New Music Video

The Troops Of Doom, the new Brazilian band featuring former Sepultura guitarist Jairo "Tormentor" Guedz, has released the official music video for the song "Dethroned Messiah". The track is taken from The Troops Of Doom's debut album, titled "Antichrist Reborn", which arrived last month via Alma Mater Records, the Portuguese powerhouse label run by Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro. It is digitally available via Blood Blast distribution.

The Troops Of Doom also includes acclaimed graphic artist Marcelo Vasco on guitar, Alex Kafer (ex-Necromancer, Explicit Hate, Enterro) on vocals/bass and Alexandre Oliveira (Southern Blacklist) on drums. The band's goal is to revisit the essence of 1980s-style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh and genuine. More...
