After releasing “Hammerschlag” as a first glimpse of what power metal up-and-comers Hammer King have to offer on their new album Hammer King (out June 11 via Napalm Records), today they reveal their anthem "Atlantis (Epilogue)" to the world! On “Atlantis (Epilogue)”, power metallers Hammer King reveal their melodic side as singer and guitarist Titan Fox V shows off his incredible vocal range. Dynamic songwriting meets multi-faceted, virtuoso guitar solos!

Singer/guitarist Titan Fox V about the new single "Atlantis (Epilogue)":
"With great pride we are to announce the release of the second video single off our upcoming album Hammer King: ‘Atlantis (Epilogue)’.

"'Atlantis' has been on everyone's list. It's an epic song actually written on the Lake Zürich. Its lyrics go back to some of the earliest hours in human history or mythology. Sumo Cyco Releases "Bad News" Music Video

Prepared to satiate a legion of devoted fans, Canadian alt-metal/heavy rock crossover stars Sumo Cyco will finally drop their highly anticipated upcoming full-length album, "Initiation," this Friday, May 7 via Napalm Records!

If their three ultra successful current singles "No Surrender", "Bystander", and the Kane Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, In This Moment, Papa Roach) produced "Vertigo" (which have now surpassed one million combined cross-platform streams/views) are any indication, it should come as no surprise that the band's final pre-album single - the eclectic, infectious "Bad News" - is another total winner, showing off the band's perfected multi-genre attack more potently than ever!

Frontwoman Skye "Sever" Sweetnam says about "Bad News":
"I'm sure many people can relate to feeling like everyday is 'Bad News' over and over again. There was a point in 2020 when I was so glued to the news and current events it felt like my personal identity was fading away into an abyss and replaced with a scrolling, media consuming robot. It made me miserable, but I felt like I had a responsibility to know what was going on. It took me a while to peel myself away from the constant barrage of negativity and find a balance."

Sweetnam adds about the video:
"The music video was really fun to film. I'm so lucky to have band members who are willing to get pretty weird with me. Once the make-up and prosthetics were on, the guys and I came to life as our Cyco Terrornaut family. I included some obnoxious color combos that almost make you question your sanity when you watch the video."

Skye Sweetnam recently spoke to Metal Underground about "Initiation," in a video interview which can also be seen below. More...

Osiah Vocalist Discusses "Loss" And Mental Health

Deathcore as we know it is now coming up to twenty years old. Over the course of its lifespan, it's seen its popularity rise, made stars out of the likes of Whitechapel and Suicide Silence and even influence veterans like Cryptopsy. Though it doesn't quite garner the same attention nowadays, the sub-genre is still going strong today with plenty of talented bands carrying the flag. One such group hails from the North East of England and is on the verge of releasing their third album, "Loss." The band in question? Osiah.

The collective of musicians from Sunderland and Newcastle have quite a history. Initially performing together as Humanity Depraved, they would eventually reconvene under the name Osiah (which is sometimes falsely reported to have started as a Ricky Lee Roper solo project) and in just two days, the quintet will unleash their third full length, "Loss." To find out more about the album, its incredibly powerful lyrical themes, the amazing artwork and much more, I caught up with Ricky Roper himself. You can watch the interview in full below. More...

DIY Update: 3 Details To Include In A Label Pitch!

Hey so a lot of people ask me about what yo put in their label pitches. Obviously everyone wants to get signed but understanding how to speak to labels is really important and you need to know what stats they are looking for. So I decided to compile some ideas from my years of doing A&R to help you.

See – labels need to make money (Most of the time) so they want to know your past sales, they also want to know what your impact has been like on the road, then of course, if you can round it out with good social and streaming numbers you are much more likely to get some sort of deal. More...
