"Across four swift slices of barbaric bestiality, this Argentinean black/death power-trio paints a vivid portrait of a future most fatal. Explosions of subharmonic riff, drums driven with animalistic abandon, sepulchral voices plumbing the depths of the abyss, and chaotic leads divebombing into and out of the metaphysical carnage: here, Infernal Curse up-ratchet all the aspects that made their Awakening of the Damned debut so deadly, rendering The End Upon Us a study in deeply occult savagery."

Red Eleven Signs To Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records is proud to announce the signing of Finnish outfit Red Eleven, which will kick off with a single release on June 20th, followed by an album coming in early Fall, 2014. Lifeforce Records owner Stefan Lüdicke commented about the signing:

"Being a huge Faith No More fan, Red Eleven with their very own interpretation of their sound is a band that exactly hit me to the heart! The feel for great melodies and songs is just amazing! These guys know how to rock!"

Former/present bands of Red Eleven's members include names like Machine Men, Swallow the Sun, Code For Silence, Sons Of Aeon, Dark Days Ahead, Plutonium Orange, Manufacturer’s Pride, Dead Cult Diaries, Turta and so on, so there’s plenty of touring and studio experience among the group. The following press release was issued about the band:

"The story of Red Eleven began in 2009 under the name 'Project Red Eleven', when Teemu Liekkala and Tony Kaikkonen (Sons Of Aeon, Code For Silence) demoed a couple of songs together. Then one fine day in the summer of 2011 Tony played these songs to his buddies Pasi Pasanen (ex-Swallow The Sun, Sons Of Aeon) and Petteri Vaalimaa. The guys instantly thought 'This should definitely be a real band!' Thus, finally in January 2012 the 'project'-prefix was let go and Red Elevent started rehearsing. J-V Hintikka joined the band very soon when he heard they need a second guitarist. After 2 months of intensive rehearsing, they started recording their debut album ‘Idiot Factory.’

"In 2012-2013 the band toured in Finland's rock clubs and gained reputation as a groovy, hard rocking live act. Red Eleven released it’s first album ‘Idiot Factory’ through Secret Entertainment in April 2013. The debut album got very positive feedback from media in Finland, as well as abroad. During the summer of 2013 the band started preparing it’s second album, composing, arranging and rehearsing songs. They hit SN-Audio Productions in November to record 12 new songs with Sami Niittykoski. In March 2014 Red Eleven signed a record deal with German label Lifeforce Records." More...

Zgard Announces Album Release

Svarga Music has set June 23rd as the international release date for Zgard's "Contemplation" album, which will be released in a regular jewel-case CD version and a digipack version limited to 100 copies. The label also comments:

"For the past four years, one-man Ukrainian band Zgard has been patiently developing an intensely personal vision of pagan-oriented black metal. Now, with the release of fourth album Contemplation, Zgard mastermind Yaromisl has perfected his craft, showing a rawer yet no-less-grandiose side that vividly illustrates the Carpathian mysticism at the heart of that craft.

"Compared to its celebrated predecessors, 2012's Reclusion and 2013's Astral Glow, ZGard here go for an atmosphere that's less cosmic and more organic, stirring both bloodlust and majesty within the listener as Yaromisl guides each of the seven tracks along an epic path. As always, the native folk touches are at the forefront but never threaten to overwhelm. As a title, then, Contemplation is more than fitting."

The track listing is:

1. Highlands
2. Through the Forest
3. Incarnation Memory
4. Wedge of Cranes
5. Silence
6. Contemplation
7. Underworld Bells

Tesla To Release New Album "Simplicity"

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of Tesla's brand new studio album entitled "Simplicity" on June 6th in Europe, and the label comments:

"The Sacramento Rockers are back with 14 new songs offering a ride of energy that doesn't come easy for a band of rookies much less a band whose been doing this for over 20 years. 'Simplicity' is Tesla's seventh all original studio album which follows a 6-years creative break from the release of the previous album 'Forever More.'

"After a string of shows in the USA in 2013, the band went back into the studio in early 2014 and came out with a new album, which goes straight back to the Tesla roots. The band worked and produced it as they did with 'Into the Now,' their successful come-back album from 2004. Helped by the legendary Tom Zutaut who was the man behind the best Tesla albums, this new album rocks from start to finish, showing a variety of emotions where each song has its own twist--not sounding like another."

The first new song off the new album, "Taste My Pain," was released last summer digitally via iTunes and Amazon. The track was recorded during a two-day session at J Street Recorders in Sacramento. The new track is, according to the band, "A heavier song with a hard-driving beat and Tesla trademark blazing guitars."

Guitarist Frank Hannon comments on the album: “I must say that this new Tesla album is really gonna be awesome. We went in more prepared with the songs and ideas way more than Forever More, and the style is pure Tesla back to our roots. I truly believe you guys are gonna love it!”

“The opening track is called MP3”, continues Hannon “and starts off with an opus intro that orchestrates into a heavy slow groove with lyrics about technology and how we miss simplicity, vinyl albums, family values...and has a heavy ass riff! Then we segue into a rock n roll song called Ricochet that talks about uncle Ted...can't wait to play this stuff live!” More...

Waxen Streaming "Hollow Eyes"

Today, American black metal outfit Waxen has premiered the new track "Hollow Eyes" through NoCleanSinging.com (available below).

The track hails from Waxen's "Agios Holokauston," set for release on May 27th via Moribund Records. Waxen is the cult solo-project of metal vet Toby Knapp, who comments:

"Waxen is my personal, musical manifestation of the extreme negative polarity. Waxen's debut was recorded nearly a decade ago, and this follow-up Agios Holokauston was only made possible by a cloud of darkness that once again lingered over me that needed to be transformed into an artform. I recorded this in the most primitive ways to capture the true essence of black metal. Broken, tiny earphones were used as the 'microphone,' and all instruments were plugged into a 4-track and overdriven by 'maxing out' the unit itself. My aim is to reintroduce a strain of black metal that inspired me, bands like Octinomos, Algaion, early Graveland, and Craft, just to name a few."

The track listing is as follows:

1. Suicidium 4:20
2. Procession 11 5:27
3. Destined For Division 4:13
4. At War With Reason Itself 6:26
5. With Hatred Be Destroyed 4:38
6. Hollow Eyes 6:03

Eisregen Reveals New EP Details

Eisregen's new EP "Flötenfreunde" will contain 5 tracks as well as 2 video clips and is due out on April 25, 2014 via Massacre Records. The track listing is as follows:

1. Rotes Meer
2. Tausendschweiner
3. Blut Saufen
4. Mordlust
5. Tot / Untot (Demo Version)
6. Lang Lebe Die Nadel (Studio Edit/Video Clip)
7. Mutter, Der Mann Mit Dem Koks Ist Da (Video Clip)

Massacre Records also comments: "'Rotes Meer' is an soon-to-be extreme metal hit and a sure candidate for Eisregen’s live set, 'Tausendschweiner' is the now definite version of the lost 'flute track' of the band, 'Blut Saufen' just can’t be described and 'Mordlust' is a brand new version of an old band classic.

"These four songs, which will only appear on this mini album, will be completed by the demo version of the blast massacre 'Tot / Untot.' Yantit is responsible for the artwork of 'Flötenfreunde.' The mini album will also be available as limited edition digipak with glow-in-the-dark effect and embossed print as well as limited 10' vinyl edition (666 hand-numbered units)." More...
