Revenge Streaming Full New Album

The black metal chaos extremists from Revenge are streaming their forthcoming new album "Behold.Total.Rejection" online today - listen in below.

"Behold.Total.Rejection" will be released by Season of Mist on November 13 worldwide. Revenge's J. Campbell comments:

"This is arguably the most fervent release in the band’s catalog since its earliest material. Those who have foolishly questioned if this unorthodox combination of band and record label would produce anything less than total confrontational, audial annihilation need only to listen to the extremity of 'Behold.Total.Rejection' to recognize that Revenge has once again chosen to turn its back on all and forge ahead alone. No scene. No brotherhood. No remorse." - More...

Oryx Announces Split With Languish

In early 2016, Battleground Records will release a split LP uniting the slow burners from Oryx and the grinders from Tucson-based Languish, the grueling pairing very much in the tradition of classic underground split releases of the '90s where grindcore, powerviolence, punk, crust, sludge and noise acts saw each other on opposing sides of vinyl together.

Side A is dominated by three new bludgeoning tracks from Denver-based Oryx, who recently brought their gutter-dredging brew of doom/sludge metal to the Mile High City from Las Cruces, New Mexico earlier this year. The new split will be the first new material to see release since the band's gnarly 2014-released "Widowmaker" debut LP.

While sharing similar tonal devastation values as their A-Side counterparts on the split, Languish opts for a much more rabid delivery on B-Side, deploying a caustic crust/grind attack with opposing guttural/scathing vocal attacks and waves of d-beatings.

View a trailer for the Oryx/Languish split LP featuring a sneak listen to some of the new music below. Upcoming tour dates from the band are also listed here:

Languish
11/05/2015 Club Congress - Tucson, AZ w/ Kylesa
11/28/2015 Sky Bar - Tucson, AZ w/ Take Over And Destroy, Lament Cityscape

Oryx
11/04/2015 The Sandbox - El Paso, TX w/ Kylesa, Communion Of Thieves, Collisions, The Stalk
11/10/2015 Bar Bar - Denver, CO w/ North, Ghosts Of Glaciers, A Light Among Many More...

Cloak Of Altering Announces New Album

Crucial Blast will release the unrelenting chaos of "Manifestation," the new full-length auditory nightmare from Cloak Of Altering, on December 4, 2015. For those not familiar, Cloak Of Altering is one of many offshoots/alter-egos of the notorious Dutch industrial black metal outfit, Gnaw Their Tongues.

One notable difference to "Manifestation" from the previous album "Plague Beasts" is the vocals, which here often take form here as a vile, guttural robotic croak, a sickeningly putrid android presence that is layered among the rest of the distant shrieks, anguished screams and chilling, garbled cries that all feel as if they are trying to escape the bowels of some nightmarish AI system.

Check out the ending song "Parasitic Altering Sickness" below. The album's full track listing is as follows:

1. Manifestation
2. 3.00348696261066
3. Stretching Infinity
4. Cave Systems Of The Outer Moons
5. Hidden Celestial Deity
6. Black Hole Cloaks

Avantasia Recruits Bruce Kulick For New Album

The never ending stream of guest musicians on Avantasia's upcoming album continues as today Nuclear Blast reveals guitarist Bruce Kulick as the latest addition.

He‘s become part of rock history as the lead guitarist of Kiss, Michael Bolton, Meat Loaf, and Grand Funk Railroad. Like a bat out of hell he was back in the studio to record some lead guitars for the new Avanantasia release "Ghostlights."

Tobias Sammet comments: "I remember I was eleven years old when I had a Kiss 'Crazy Nights' poster on the wall, 20 years later Bruce asked me to co-write and lay down vocals for a song on his solo album 'BKIII' (highly recommended to check out), which was a great honor for me. Bruce is a great guy, a pro and an outstanding guitar player, he comes from a different background than me, which makes it even more exciting to have him on the 'Ghostlights' album (out January 2016 via Nuclear Blast)."

Brainstorm Details "Scary Creatures"

Following up on the success of 2014’s “Firesoul” album, German power metallers Brainstorm didn’t waste any time to enter the studio and record a brand new masterpiece which is titled “Scary Creatures,” which will hit the stores on January 15th, 2016 via AFM Records. The album will be available as a standard CD, limited digipak (with bonus track), Limited Box Set (incl. statue and Digipak) and Limited Colored Vinyl (500 units in golden vinyl).

The band continues where "Firesoul" left off one and a half years ago. Mix and mastering was once again handled by Achim Koehler. But right away you feel that "Scary Creatures" is just that notch better than "Firesoul," more anthemic, heavy and all musicians plus vocalist Andy B. Franck delivering to the max. Starting with the infectious opening track "The World To See" (which will also be the album’s first single and video clip), Brainstorm once again prove why they are one of the most popular and respected metal acts in the European scene. The band will embark on European tour in February 2016, followed by many festivals around the world in the Summer.

Vocalist Andy B. Franck states: "'Scary Creatures' is a very emotional, an almost personal, album. All songs reflect the events and feelings of the past months, which made the music incredibly intense. To me, 'Scary Creatures' is the logical successor to 2014's 'Firesoul' and perfectly bridges to Brainstorm 2016. Also for the first time we achieved that many of the band members' children were integrated into several songs. It's another reason why the new album is very valuable and unique to us. Add to this the rough lyrical concept dealing with several atrocities all over the world in the past centuries, 'Scary Creatures' turned out to become an impressive metal album we all are proud of."

The track list is:

1. The World To See
2. How Much Can You Take
3. We Are...
4. Where Angels Dream
5. Scary Creatures
6. Twisted Ways
7. Caressed By The Blackness
8. Scars In Your Eyes
9. Take Me To The Never
10. Sky Among The Clouds
11. Lift Your Eyes To See (Bonus track - Limited Digipak)

+ Bonus Live DVD
(incl. "The World To See" video clip & Live concert Essen 2014 (performing the entire 'Firesoul' album plus many more songs) More...
