Metalcore powerhouse Bury Tomorrow just released a new music video for "Cemetery," which can be seen below. Speaking of the track, frontman Dani Winter-Bates says:

"'Cemetery', right from the beginning of recording was always one of our favourites on the album. We decided to do the video with our old friends in Sitcom Soldiers, who have smashed it on a fair few of our videos! We wanted to do something we'd never done before, rain, It was an amazing experience, albeit colder than ice! We wanted a video that reflected the dark nature of the track and the album as a whole."

Orphaned Land Unite All As One In London

In the modern world, metal music truly has become international. It's reached all four corners of the globe, touching music lovers for all manner of different reasons. Recently, a tour rolled into London which summed up the far reaching power of metal, featuring bands from Europe, Asia and South America and offering a wide variety of sounds and sights. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the show and witness the unifying power of a genre that has been dismissed far too many times as a negative influence.

Having unfortunately missed out on the opening act, Chilean progressive metal veterans Crisálida, I was able to catch Russian symphonic metal act, Imperial Age. Though I'd never heard of the group before, they were very striking in a number of ways. Firstly, the vocals, provided mostly by Anna "Kiara" Moiseeva but aided expertly by keyboardists Alexander "Aor" Osipov and Jane "Corn" Odintsova, are absolutely breath taking, showing off their classically trained voices in an awe inspiring way. The music which accompanies the singing is just as epic and grand in sound, while even the band's attire was memorable, with Osipov dressed in what could best be described as a general's uniform. For those who like symphonic metal, Imperial Age are a band one simply must check out. They could well be the next stars of the genre. More...

Lordi Put On A Monster Show In Bristol

Lordi are a band that will usually generate a different reaction to everyone who hears their name. For some, they're keeping the spirit of old school heavy metal alive with their U.D.O. and glam influenced sound, along with their showmanship, while for others they're an imitation of other such previous bands as Gwar and then there are those in Europe who remember them solely for their Eurovision winning entry, "Hard Rock Hallelujah" back in 2006. Whatever the case, the prospect of seeing a Lordi show was a very intriguing one and something I was able to do when they stopped off in Bristol during their extensive tour of the United Kingdom.

Starting the show, and in some fashion, was Silver Dust, from the Swiss municipality of Porrentruy. The band make strong use of theatrics in their performances, using props such as video screens and realistic, if slightly funny looking, guns, while the majority of the group were clad in suits and top hats. It's steampunk influenced gothic rock at its most ludicrous and by extension, its most fun, with the audience made to feel very much part of the show throughout, blurring the line between a hard rock show and vaudeville. Their music may not be to everyone's liking, but Silver Dust do put on a performance to remember. More...

Accept Posts "Restless And Live" Trailer

The metal icons from Accept will release "Restless And Live" in early 2017. This package will include the entire show Aceept played at Bang Your Head!!! Festival 2015 on Blu-ray/DVD plus two Live CDs with different recordings during the European tour.

"Restless And Live" will be available in stores from January 13th, 2017 via Nuclear Blast. To provide you with a taster of this new release, the band led by axe man Wolf Hoffmann today presents a first trailer. In this clip, Wolf and Accept producer Andy Sneap talk about the set list and new as well as old classics from Accept. Hoffmann comments:

"When you do a live show you obviously have an opener and an ending, and in between you only have a certain amount of songs that you can choose from, because especially at festivals you only get a limited amount of time to play. When we do headline shows we have a little more room to play with and we can pick a few more songs.

"What is interesting to me is, that when you listen to the stuff back to back there doesn't seem to be any discrepancy between the stuff that we recorded or wrote 30 years ago and our more recent material! And the fans tell me the same thing, it really blends together rather well." More...

Hells Headbangers has set January 27th, 2017 as the international release date for Ride For Revenge's sixth album, "Thy Horrendous Yearning," on vinyl LP for the first time ever.

For over a decade now, Ride For Revenge has maintained one of the most unique sounds in the black/death underground - and prolifically, at that - with debut album "The King of Snakes" in 2007 being the watershed moment where this Finnish entity boldly unfurled its uneasy 'n' unclean primitivism-unto-ritualism.

Van Halst Releases "Questions" Video

Canadian outfit Van Halst is asking the "Questions" with a new music video emphasizing to viewers a strong message to take action against domestic violence and rape culture. Vocalist Kami Van Halst comments:

"'Questions' is a very important song for us. There is so much victim blaming in our society and we wanted to draw attention to this issue. My sister (Brittney Grabill) and I wrote this song in response to a series of sexual assaults that were happening in our home town.

"We were appalled by the lack of focus on the perpetrator and the questions being asked of the victims such as 'Well what were they doing there in the first place?' We need to stop putting the blame on the victims and shift our focus to preventing these altercations in the first place. People need to understand that violence and abuse towards another person, any person, is not OK." More...

Red Cain Streaming New Release

Red Cain is proud to unleash a self-titled EP today (November 25th) via iTunes, CD Baby, and Bandcamp. You can also stream all of "Red Cain" below.

The band returns to the scene after a two year hiatus and line up change that now features orchestration guru William Lancaster along with the talented multi-instrumentalist Rogan McAndrews joining founding band members Evgeniy Zayarny, Nikita Ryzhenkov plus Samuel Royce. The group comments on this EP's release:

"Red Cain" is a concept album, with the tracks mirroring the four 'Faces of Man.' Guillotine is War. Dead Aeon Requiem is Ascendance. Hiraeth is Yearning, future and past. Unborn is the Primordial.

"It is with a great sense of pride, anticipation, and optimism that we finally reveal these four songs - our first quality thrust at the musical abyss, and our first challenge to you, the fans, as well as ourselves. There are lyrical, musical, and thematic layers to be discovered within these tracks; they are as much a reflection of their creators as of the subject matter, and, as often happens in music, we came out much changed on the other end. If we can instill even a small portion of that change within you, the listeners, that will make all of this worthwhile. More...
