Superjoint Streams New Album's Title Song

In less than two weeks, Superjoint will unleash the sonic deviance of the "Caught Up In The Gears Of Application" full-length. Captured at the famed Nodferatu's Lair, the eleven-track recording marks the band's first new output since 2003's "Lethal Dose Of American Hatred."

Produced by Superjoint co-founder Philip H. Anselmo and Stephen Berrigan, and mastered by Scott Hull at Visceral Sounds, "Caught Up In The Gears Of Application" spews forth an acrimonious crossover of hardcore punk, metal, and unrelenting, hostile, New Orleans-style angst.

As a precursor to the record's official unveiling, today the rabid sounds of title track "Caught Up In The Gears Of Application" comes online. Reflects Anselmo, "The title track pretty much sums up the overall feel of the LP. It speaks for itself, loudly, clearly, and passionately, whatever a person's definition of that would be. Let the music do the talking and shape the lyrics to fit your own life." More...

Dying Whale Signs With Nefarious Industries

Nefarious Industries enthusiastically welcomes Georgia-based riffmanglers Dying Whale to the roster, and is plotting the early 2017 release of recently-completed "Last Moments Of Misery" album. Nefarious comments:

"Dying Whale is an unpredictable force of chaos. They have been dishing out their own breed of genre-defying and intentionally confounding doom-punk since 2010, hitting the road constantly and destroying clubs along the way.

"'Last Moments Of Misery' was tracked at Earthsound Studios in the band's hometown of Valdosta, Georgia, with engineer/producer Lee Dyess (Mayday Parade, From First to Last, I Set My Friends on Fire), and features vocal contributions from Rich Weinberger (Gatherers), Jeff Hill (Machinist!), Kelby Clark (Divorce Ring), Nannen Gatchell (Smiler), and Victor Skamiera (Fero Lux).

"Unifying elements of metal, sludge, and hardcore with ferociously raw emotional delivery, Last Moments of Misery molds the listening experience and will leave you breathless. 'Last Moments Of Misery' will see release in the first months of 2017; stand by for a street date, the album artwork, audio previews, and more to be announced in the weeks ahead." More...

Svart Crown Signs With Century Media

Century Media Records is very proud to announce the worldwide signing of French death/black metal band Svart Crown. The label had this to say:

"Svart Crown's previously released albums 'Ages Of Decay' (2008), 'Witnessing The Fall' (2010) and especially 'Profane' (2013) have gained the band a lot of attention as being one of the most interesting and most diverse extreme metal bands rising from the French scene. Abnormality Experiences "Cymatic Hallucinations"

Currently on tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, and Power Trip in the USA, Massachusetts-based extreme metal outfit Abnormality has just launched a video for "Cymatic Hallucinations."

This new video is taken from the "Mechanisms of Omniscience" album (streaming here) and was produced, directed, and edited by Jim Foster,

Foster comments: "As we embarked on our second video together, my goal was to portray Abnormality's intense energy on a large scale while bringing their concept of a 'trip' into the darkness of the mind into a reality. And as always, Metal Blade is incredibly supportive in letting bands and directors see their visions through."

Abnormality's Jay Blaisdell (drums) adds: "We're excited to release our new music video for 'Cymatic Hallucinations.' Again we teamed up with Red 13 Media who delivered our previous video 'Mechanisms of Omniscience.' Overall, the song is about applying the concept of cymatics (the effects of sound & vibrational frequency on matter), to tripping hard on shrooms. Basically it's describing the trip of all trips. A hallucinogenic experience so intense that the auditory hallucinations experienced actually cause a cymatic alteration to the person's physical reality and existence, or even everyone's physical reality and existence. It's a pretty fucked up scenario. I personally have had really intense trips with both visual and auditory hallucinations. The sounds hallucinated are always indistinguishable from the real vibrational sounds. The whole concept has always intrigued me." More...

Be The Wolf Explores "Phenomenons"

Italian rockers Be The Wolf released a video clip for the new song "Phenomenons." The song appears on the upcoming new record "Rouge," which is set to drop on November 18th via Scarlet Records.

Formed in 2011 in Turin, Italy, Be The Wolf had one goal: to write and play rock music, plain and simple, with no masterplans and with no need to conform to any genre, definition or label. Since then the band released a bunch of singles, videos and an EP that were very well received worldwide, and played countless shows in their home country and beyond.

Scarlet Records saw the enormous potential and signed the band in June 2015. The debut album "Imago" was released shortly after, to critical acclaim and commercial success. The band was received tremendous support by the most important music media outlets and were invited to perform in Japan, where they received the prestigious “brightest Hope Award” by influential music magazine Burrn!.

Be The Wolf's music is an addictive mix of contemporary but 70's inspired rock and a touch of blues-filled atmospheres. Groovy anthems alternate with slow paced tracks and folkish ballads, with wide range vocals delivering catchy refrains and haunting melodies, enhanced by gospel-infused choirs. "Rouge" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea Fusini (Upon This Dawning, MSWhite, Ready,Set,Fall!) and sets new standards for the band: longer than the debut yet straight to the point, the record is a concept about blood, fire and faith, a raw analysis of modern society, with its French title to be seen as an homage to the Bataclan victims.

The track list for the album is: More...

Grim Ordeal Signs With Into The Limelight Records

Dutch metal act Grim Ordeal signed on with Into the Limelight Records. A sophomore full length record is targeted for release in 2017.

Grim Ordeal provides you with a “straight in your face!” mix of brutal, thrashing and grooving metal with some added progressive elements and a pinch of death and core. Featuring technical guitar work, gruff vocals and tempo fluctuations, Grim Ordeal has created a very unique yet recognizable sound. Grim Ordeal consists of the following members: Otto Donk (vocals), Raymond Groenink (guitar), Edwin Kral (guitar), Bryan Zwiers (bass) and Rob Pol (drums).

Based in the Dutch city of Deventer, Grim Ordeal has been steadily active for a decade. In 2011 they recorded the first 3 song demo, after which a heavy live performance period followed. During that time they played gigs as supports for the likes of Malevolent Creation, Izegrim, The Lucifer Principle, Erebus, The Monolith Deathcult and many more. These efforts culminated in a spot as the sole support for Sacred Reich’s 2012 exclusive BeNeLux club performance in Hedon, Zwolle (The Netherlands).

In July 2014, the band independently released the debut album "A Tragedy Unfolds" and the song "My Kingdom" was chosen as the opening track for compilation album "Metal Inside" Volume 1 released by Big Bad Wolf Records.

It didn't take long for them to spark interest amongst labels to release the new album in 2017. The choice for Into The LimeLight Records was a logical step. The new album will be released fall 2017. The band and the label are working on a release and marketing plan. The digital and physical distribution will be handled by Soulfood Music Gmbh in Germany. More...
