Rivers Of Nihil Posts New Music Video Online

American technical death metal band Rivers Of Nihil has posted a new music video online for the song, "The Silent Life." You can check it out below. The song comes from the band's latest album "Where Owls Know My Name," which was released in March of this year through Metal Blade Records.

Guitarist Brody Uttley comments: "This live music video for 'The Silent Life' was filmed by the kind folks over at MyGoodEye Visuals in our hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania on the last date of our recent headlining tour. We had our good pal Zach Strouse playing live saxophone with us that night, so it seemed like a great chance to catch some footage. As always, working with David Brodsky and his team was a blast. We hope you enjoy. We will also be embarking on our second European tour late this November with our friends in Revocation, Archspire, and Soreption. We will be playing a nice selection of new tunes as well as some old favorites. Come out and get in the pit!" More...

Sacrosanct Posts New Music Video Online

German/Dutch progressive metal outfit Sacrosanct has posted a new music video online for the song, "My Last White Light." You can check it out below. The song comes from the band's upcoming fourth album, "Necropolis," which will be released on November 30th through ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records.

"Necropolis" was engineered, mixed and mastered by Max Morton of Morton Studios, who has also remastered the entire Sacrosanct back catalogue. A prolific professional with a broad clientele, Max has worked with a wide variety of acts, including prominent Ukranian metalcore combo Jinjer. The objective with Necropolis was to record a classic, analogue-sounding album using modern technologies, and at the same time avoid any modern metal clichés.

Initially intended solely as a studio project, "Necropolis" was recorded by a brand new Sacrosanct lineup featuring Randy Meinhard and Christian Göwert on guitars, Richard F. Hesselink on vocals, and Kees Harrison - formerly of Dutch prog-metal act Sphere Of Souls - on bass. During the recording sessions, it soon became apparent that the new lineup wanted to continue working together and bring the new material to the stage. With the support of ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records, Sacrosanct are now looking forward to bringing these plans to fruition.

While "Necropolis" bears all of the hallmarks and intricacies that characterize Sacrosanct, it displays a more mature and focused song-writing approach. Songs like “The New Age Of Fear”, “My Last White Light” and “Only One God” are lyrically thought-provoking, creating a brand of metal that still makes the band hard to categorize.

Like its predecessor, "Tragic Intense," which was released in 1993, "Necropolis" places a strong emphasis on melancholy melodies and clean vocals, but also incorporates many harmony guitar parts, faster tempos and some modern twists that mark the beginning of a new chapter for the band. More...

The Three Tremors Release New Single

The Three Tremors, the new project featuring vocalists Tim "Ripper" Owens (Spirits Of Fire/ex Judas Priest/ex Iced Earth,) Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin (of Jag Panzer and Satan's Force fame) and Sean "The Hell Destroyer" Peck, known for his work with Cage and Dealer, has posted a new single and lyric video online for the song, "Invaders Of The Sky." You can check it out below. The song comes from the band's eponymous debut album, which will be released on January 18th through Steel Cartel Records.

Ripper: "There is a lot going on in this song. This is 3 singers brining it old school with power and highs! To tell you the truth this is what you are going to get on the whole CD!"

Harry: "I would have to say this is one of the more thrashy tracks on album. It has a real chaotic feel too it which I love. I think we are opening the live set with this one too, it's going to be crazy doing this one live."

Sean: "Trying to pick which songs to do videos for was almost impossible. All 12 songs on this record are so strong that I have a new favorite each time I listen to it. We decided to pick Invaders From The Sky for one of our videos because the whole imagery of an alien invasion we thought would look killer underneath the ferocity of the music. Hats off to the guys at GHD who did an incredible job putting it together and making it look just how we wanted it. When the album hits in a couple of months everyone will sympathize with how hard it was to single out just which songs to do videos for. Everyone has a different favorite!" More...

Martyr Art Stream New Song "Thundering"

Today Metal Underground is proud to premiere "Thundering" from Industrial metal artist Martyr Art, a project of Joe Gagliardi III.

Joe comments:

"Thundering" is inspired by war and the overwhelmingly dystopian direction our world is heading towards. The song also presented the opportunity to collaborate on lyrics with my dad, who served in the Vietnam War. The lyrics that he wrote are based on his experiences during the war and coming home, while the lyrics I wrote are a reflection of the storms ahead.
