Lancer Posts "Mastery" Video

In two months, Swedish heavy metal band Lancer will release brand new record "Mastery" via Nuclear Blast.

To shorten the wait for fans, the band just released another new song in the form of a music video today. Watch the clip for the title track "Mastery," directed and edit by Hannes Knutsson, in the player below.

Infinite Earths Streams "Act III Chaotic Good"

Progressive death metal band Infinite Earths just revealed the next act from forthcoming concept album "Into the Void." The song, titled "Act III Chaotic Good," can be heard below.

The band commented that in this track, "Dr. Herring is brought to his knees before spasms of matter parting way into a deep nothingness. From those depths come things darker than their portal into this world. Herring begs to question his actions, are they good in nature? Or has he wrought evil?"

If you missed it, Infinite Earths also just gave us maybe the best pit story ever (OK, that's a lie, nothing will ever top the limp-dicked salute to Behemoth at Bloodstock). More...

Reality Slap Posts New Video

Portuguese hardcore band Reality Slap just posted the lead single from impending "Limitless" EP, approaching release through War Records in January. Reality Slap vocalist Johnny comments:

"'Limitless' is the first video for the new EP. We wanted to get a little trippy and show a bit of the vibe of our new sound. The DIY spirit is always present in everything we do, it's a very important side of this scene so we got our hands dirty and did everything ourselves at [drummer] Tiago's house in one afternoon. We have a thing about trashing houses while playing music as everyone can see when we played a show at our friend's flat and recorded a video for 'The End.'"

Adds War Records founder Andrew Kline (Strife), "I'm excited to be working with Reality Slap to release Limitless... The first time I heard the EP I was blown away. Hardcore kids need to look beyond their borders and see that there are great bands coming from all corners of the world. I really think that Reality Slap is the band that can bridge that gap and really wave the flag for the European and worldwide hardcore scene."

War Records will issue "Limitless" on vinyl, CD, and digital formats this coming January 13th, 2017. Reality Slap has also been confirmed to take part in "You Are Part Of This Tour" 2017, a massive hardcore trek set to raid Europe in February, the package also including, Deez Nuts, Comeback Kid, First Blood, Hellions, Risk It, and Get The Shot. Entrapment Exploring "Through Realms Unseen"

Deranged Dutch outfit Entrapment delivers its most diverse album to date with "Through Realms Unseen," coming November 25th via Pulverised Records. The label had this to say:

"Mastermind Michel Jonker and his morbid crew draw fresh blood off an assortment of death n' roll elements without losing grip on the foreboding sound that the band has always been known for. Once again darkness engulfs and their brand of rotten death metal will remain an imposing force amongst the peers.

"Recorded, mixed and mastered by JB Van Der Wal (ex-Aborted, ex-Leaves Eyes, ex-Atrocity, etc) and the majestically grotesque album artwork by renowned illustration-extraordinaire Marald Van Haasteren (Bolt Thrower, High On Fire, Wolfbrigade, etc)."

Bellringer Releases New Video

Austin-based Bellringer just dispatched a disorderly new video - prime fodder to get your Friday going - for the track "Cowboy Fight," which hails from the band's recent LP, "Jettison."

Bellringer is the provocative, fleshed-out embodiment of the music of founding guitarist/vocalist Mark Deutrom, formerly of The Melvins, Clown Alley, and more.

"Cowboy Fight" is now given an appropriately warped visual complement, as Deutrom's wife Jennifer - lead visual propaganda administrator for the band - creatively repurposes Russ Meyer's Spaghetti-Western-gone-burlesque flick, "Wild Gals Of The Naked West."

Mr. Deutrom offers that the video is, "existentialist musing on the pointless and transitory nature of mano-a-mano violence in a nostalgic and blood free setting packed with friendly caricatures and the usual cliches." More...

Fight The Fight Posts New Song

Indie Recordings today premieres the first single from Fight The Fight's self-titled new album due out in late January - check out "Perfect Combination" below. The label comments:

"Fight The Fight's debut record is young, fresh and bursting with energy. Just as you would expect from a debut record of a band that has been buzzing around the Norwegian underground for several years. But, it is more…much more. It is a mature, well-composed rock/metal grenade with immediately memorable hooks, catchphrases and choruses. It`s not your average debut record, with elements of rock, punk, metal and black metal woven into a unique and progressive sound. Big riffs siting effortlessly alongside memorable hooks.

"Barely breaking into their twenties, Fight The Fight has already been a band, though under a different name (Faenskap), for more than a decade. They`ve played all the major festivals in Norway, toured Europe and received massive praise amongst others from Metal Hammer UK for their phenomenal live performances. During their existence they`ve played several hundred shows, making them .a tight knit unit that`s formed an unbreakable bond within the group.

"It`s the classic story of childhood friends and schoolmates forming a band whose dreams and ambitions run high. They have made it the center of their lives, and work it as hard as they possibly can. Pushing the whole project to the limit of their capabilities, but ultimately succeeding in reaching their goal: creating a debut record reflecting both their ambition and vision of what`s to come." The Funeral Portrait Premieres New Music Video

The Funeral Portrait - an Atlanta group blending together metal and rock with some pop sensibilities - will drop "A Moment of Silence" via Revival Recordings this coming December 16th.

Telling tales of love, loss, anger, and grief, "A Moment Of Silence" was first heralded with a clip for "The Water Obeyed The Gravity," and today we're bringing another advance glimpse of the release with an all-new music video.

Check out our exclusive premiere of the "Like Father Like Son" video below, which follows the album’s main character and demonstrates the relationship he had with God and how it is falling apart. In the video you can see he is desperately trying to reconnect, but no one is there listening.

Vocalist Lee Jennings comments: "The 'Like Father Like Son' video really brings to life some of the story of our new record, 'A Moment Of Silence.' A battle in a teenage boy's head struggling to know what happens after death. A boy who is lost in the world trying to just hold on one more day while not trying to fall down the hypnotizing spiral of every day life."

The video was directed by Robbie Grantham, and upcoming album "A Moment of Silence" is now available for pre-order here.

Pain of Salvation Release "Meaningless" Single

Swedish progressive rock/metal innovators Pain of Salvation are commencing the promotional campaign for the much anticipated new studio album "In the Passing Light of Day,' which will be released on Friday the 13th of January, 2017 via longtime label partners InsideOutMusic.

Therefore, the band is launching the album's first single 'Meaningless" today. Check it out in a stunning video produced by Joakim S. Hammond and Love Fagerstedt for Lynx Pictures in the player below.

Pain of Salvation have checked in with the following comment on "Meaningless": "We feel very proud to release the first video for the upcoming album 'In the Passing Light of Day.' Love and Joakim and the entire film team have made a tremendous work. In it, you will also see some wonderful Pain of Salvation fans, whom we want to send extra warm thanks to!
