Technical death metal Egyptologists Nile are proud to release their ninth album, "Vile Nilotic Rites," today via Nuclear Blast. In celebration of the release the band offer fans the lyric video for the song, "Snake Pit Mating Frenzy." You can check it out below.

Karl Sanders comments, "The arrival of the release day of 'Vile Nilotic Rites' is the long-awaited culmination of not only years of passionate, dedicated work from everyone involved, but also the sweeping realization, the promised land of the collective hopes and expectations of our fans. In truth, this day of deliverance is also their day, not just ours. NILE fans have always been loyal and supportive through the years, and evidenced themselves particularly so over and over during the long wait while we slaved over this album. Their eternal metal faith and encouragement were a continuous source of inspiration for us to push ourselves to make this the best NILE record we possibly could. Accept Recruits New Guitarist

Accept are currently busy preparing for their two upcoming North American shows next week; on November 8th at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL and November 10th at the Foamhenge Festival in Houston,TX. In preparation for those shows, today, the band put out this statement:

"Unfortunately, Uwe Lulis will not be able to join us for these two shows as he is recuperating from a recent reconstructive surgery on his leg, from injuries he received to it in a near fatal motorcycle accident a decade ago. Uwe has dealt with the injury for a long time and has had many surgeries as a result.

"In the process of finding cover for Uwe for these shows, everybody remarked how they loved working with Philip Shouse during this year‘s Symphonic Terror Tour, so we asked if he could help us out for these two shows. To our and Uwe’s great relief - he said yes! More...

Moonspell Drummer On "1755," New Music And More

Four hundred and sixty four years ago today, a series of disasters hit the Portuguese city of Lisbon, causing massive destruction and making such a cultural impact that many philosophers rethought their stance on God. Of course, if any band was going to write an album all about this event, it would have to the country's biggest metal exports, Moonspell.

Currently on an extensive tour of Europe with Greek metal legends Rotting Christ, Moonspell are still as strong as ever. Their brand of Gothic and atmospheric extreme metal still resonates with listeners across the globe and in the live setting, they can set scenes like the best theatre directors. I caught up drummer Miguel "Mike" Gaspar at the band's recent show in London to talk all about the album, their biography, "Wolves Who Were Men," work on new music and much more. You can watch the interview in full below, while an excerpt reads as follows:

Diamond Oz: How's it going Mike?

Miguel "Mike" Gaspar: Really good, we just came from the signing session. We have our book, "Wolves Who Were Men," which was written by Ricardo S. Amorim, which is the same name as our guitar player so people are getting confused, but it wasn't our guitar player that wrote the book.

Oz: It's a really comprehensive book...

Mike: Yeah it's the first time we've seen the English version, which has some extras inside. It has some colour photos so it's kind of like a picture book too.

Oz: When was the decision made to make a book about Moonspell?

Mike: Maybe two or three years ago. I think it was a coincidence because we were doing this TV programme in the north of the country in Porto and at the same time, there was one of the journalists from Loud magazine, who had written a book about the Portuguese metal scene, which included us. We really appreciated the work he did on that and he asked us for a ride back home to Lisbon, which is like a three hour drive and while we were in the van, we were talking among ourselves and Fernando asked him if he'd want to do a Moonspell biography. The next day, he called him back asking if he was serious and he said, "We're serious. We really want you to do this because I think you're the perfect person for it" and he did an amazing job, taking the time to speak to each one of us.

At the time my daughter had just been born, so she was six months old and I asked him to come and meet me at my house to talk about the band. Of course I was in a different state of mind. He did the same with all the other members throughout the months, this was in the process of nearly a year. He also traveled with us to some shows abroad, like to Belgium for a big festival, so he could see what it's like outside of the country, because it's very difficult to explain to the Portuguese what it's like outside of your own country, you really have to experience it for yourself.

Agnostic Front Posts New Music Video Online

Legendary NYHC pioneers Agnostic Front are back on the scene with their twelfth studio album, "Get Loud!," which will be released on November 8th via Nuclear Blast. Today they release the music video for the second single entitled "I Remember," which showcases Roger and Vinnie's start with the band. Directed by Punchdance Studios, the song highlights their roots through a video montage and photos from the band's early days. You can check it out below.

Frontman Roger Miret comments, "Probably the most important song on Get Loud!, 'I Remember' is such a super personal track reminiscing on me and Vinnie putting the AF and NYHC stamp on the map! Looking back at it, I feel like this song could have been the title track to the Godfathers Of Hardcore documentary. We chose to call on our friends and family for the videography and photography to paint that magical picture of our glory days. Today, tomorrow, forever!" More...

Rob Halford To Release Autobiography

Legendary Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford will release his autobiography, entitled "Confess," on October 20, 2020.

Known as "The Metal God" by his devoted, global fan base, Rob Halford has always subverted the norm, and "Confess" will offer readers a compelling and honest look at the struggles he has faced with addiction and his sexuality, as well as exploring his music and his many brushes with controversy.

There have been few vocalists in the history of heavy metal whose singing style has been as influential and instantly recognizable as Halford's. "Confess," published to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Judas Priest - and described by Halford himself as "exciting, fun, disturbing and terrifying" - will celebrate five decades of the guts and glory of rock-n-roll.

"Confess" is written with Ian Gittins, co-writer of the New York Times bestseller, The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx.

Angel Witch Posts New Music Video Online

In the wake of their brand new album, "Angel Of Light" - already being described by some as the band's finest work since the legendary debut - Angel Witch are proud to present their first bona fide music video since their eponymous single nearly forty years ago: the incendiary and extraterrestrial-themed "Death From Andromeda". You can check out the video below.

The handiwork of the Brighton-based production team Wild Stag Studio, this six minute piece forms a homage of sorts to the sci-fi and horror dreamworlds that have haunted the collective subconscious and fired the imagination of the band since its earliest incarnation.

Even before the day in 1979 when Kevin Heybourne used the recently viewed Alien as inspiration for the hellish guitar noise that kicks off "Baphomet", the mystical aural landscapes that Angel Witch creates had always been heavily informed by futuristic dystopias, dark mythos and the kind of culture oft found in yellowing paperbacks, midnight movie screenings and on the flickering of small-hours television. Swedish Heavy Metal Band Screamer Premiers Video

Screamer never strays far from the proven sound of roaring guitars and pounding drums that's just as powerful in the pit as when it's blasting through your stereo. In Screamer's music, you can hear the classic foundations laid down by the hard rocking heroes of old. With a combination of straight-forward choruses of the likes of Dio, guitar work in the style of Maiden or Lizzy on speed, and the pounding beat of Judas Priest, Screamer has carved out their very own essence of heavy metal that stands the test of time. Their new album Highway of Heroes is set to be released the 11th of October though The Sign Records.

Highway of Heroes is the fourth studio album from the Swedish heavy metal band. It was produced by Gustav Hjortsjö from Bullet, recorded by Ulf Blomberg in The End Studio, mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in the legendary Sunlight Studio, and mastered by Patrik W. Engel in Temple Of Disharmony. The album holds nine tracks plus a CD/Vinyl exclusive intro. Screamer is set to tour Europe in November following the release of Highway of Heroes. More...
