Coscradh To Release New EP "Of Death And Delirium"

Today, Invictus Productions sets November 24th as the international release date for Coscradh's highly anticipated new EP, "Of Death and Delirium."

Just last year, Invictus unfurled Coscradh's self-titled debut demo, which subsequently went on to reap international acclaim. Here, Coscradh presented a new revelation in the Irish black/death metal underground, and yet another extremely promising newcomer fostered by Invictus. An auspicious start, with its ever-swarming sensation of hideousness and eldritch dread, but along comes "Of Death and Delirium" to eclipse that.

Every element of "Of Death and Delirium" takes its predecessor to more extreme lengths. Playing, production, songwriting, atmosphere: verily, this is the severest Metal of Death given fuller flight and more far flung into the great abyss. Gnarled and gnawing, possessive of a molten muscularity that always threatens to explode into chaos, Coscradh now finesse the towering creations with a keen attention to nuance; underneath, the primordial waters of time eternal swirl ever more dangerously and direly. Spewing forth three despair-ridden odes to suffering, violence, and madness, "Of Death and Delirium" confesses a cacophony of death metal majesty that soundtracks horrors seen and unseen - and within, Coscradh stand intrepid, in control but fatefully locked into a state of primal psychosis.

Titled truly, as both manifesto and momentum, "Of Death and Delirium" is Coscradh's first grand strike upon the world stage. Feel its first wrath with the new track "Hangwoman" in the player below.

Cover and track listing are as follows:

1. Disappeared
2. Hangwoman
3. Saor sa hAnbháis More...

Death Trip To Release Debut Album "Madhouse"

Today, Ektro Records sets December 6th as the international release date for Death Trip's LONG-awaited debut album "Madhouse." After being an ominous presence within the Finnish underground scene for nearly three decades, "Madhouse" marks Death Trip's first full-length.

Hailing from the angst of northern Finland, Death Trip are regarded as one of the most frightening bands in Finland, mainly due to infernal screams of the legendary vocalist Läjä Äijälä (Terveet Kädet, etc). The intense bombardment of uncompromising distorted guitars provides a hypnotic melting pot for splatter/gore flicks and the spirit of Hawkwind and the Stooges.

Madhouse continues the ferocious noise of Death Trip’s early 7"s (Death Trip, Chainsaw Goddess, Please! Skin Me Alive), which had a huge impact on the Finnish underground scene in the early 1990s, contributing to the formation of bands such as Circle.

In the leadup to Madhouse's release, the new tracks "Scream Baby Scream" and the album's title track can be respectively heard in the players below: More...

Insurrection Post New Album "Extraction" In Full

Assembled in 2003 to infiltrate, build and destroy, Gatineau, QC's INSURRECTION is an aural onslaught assaulting witnesses in both languages of French and English. Known for blending calculated technicality with a signature mixture of merciless death metal, the band has emerged to be one of the most prominent Eastern Canadian metal bands.
Annihilating the masses with their three previous full lengths "Prototype" (2013), "Fracture" (2010) and "Prologue" (2009), Ottawa's Insurrection is ready to once again push the metal to blasphemous levels with the next release "Extraction." A ten track aberration, ready to shock and blast fans to the next life, the album was produced by Pierre Rémillard at Wild Studio (Cryptopsy, Obliveon, Anonymus, Voivod, Krisiun, Ghoulunatics, Despised Icon, Beneath the Massacre, Gorguts, Martyr).

Mason Remains "Impervious"

New Noise Magazine teamed up with Australian thrash act Mason to bring you the stream of the entire new album "Impervious" a day ahead of its release on October 6th over at this location. The album is also conveniently streaming in the player below.

Crushing audiences across the globe with their driving force and energetic stage presence, Melbourne's Mason delivers a commanding performance that has taken the band on tours across Australia and beyond in Asia, Europe plus Canada where the band even shared the stage with the likes of Harlott, Havok, Accept, Revocation, Mutank and Annihilator.

Drawing influences from 'The Big Four' and Bay Area thrash greats, Mason encapsulates the 80's thrash sound mixed with fast tempos and a dominating rhythm section. The second full length “Impervious” features nine glorious thrashing tracks mixed and mastered by Erin Hamidovic (Devin Townsend Project, Sikth, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Elm Street).

Vocalist/guitarist Jimmy Benson comments: "During the demo process we wrote a lot of material, but the majority made the ‘Impervious’ album minus one or two songs. We spent a lot of time fine tuning the songs and making sure they kicked ass! For this album, we focused mainly on trimming the fat and stepping up the energy and tempos. Fast, focused and heavy! For those wanting to know more about this release. ‘Impervious’ touches on so many topics from suicide, death, terrorism and more events that happen to people around the world. When ya look at the front cover, it is a symbol of character and strength of a boy that goes about his everyday life in the worst conditions and does what is normal to him to get by day to day. To sum it up, this new album is powerful and holds a strong message from start to finish."

The album track list is:

1. Eligos (0:29)
2. Burn (3:30)
3. Tears of Tragedy (4:05)
4. The Afterlife (5:13)
5. Impervious (4:48)
6. Cross This Path (3:26)
7. Sacrificed (4:11)
8. Hellbent on Chaos (3:54)
9. Created To Kill (6:29)

Decatur Proves Its "Badder Than Brooklyn"

Toronto-based metal messiahs Decatur - comprised of Jay “Beard” Sarrazin (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Tiny Basstank (Bass/Backup Vocals), Steve “Animal” Mitchell (Drums/ Backup Vocals), and Liam Maguire (Guitar/Backup Vocals) - are a day away (Friday, October 6th release date - pre-order the album here) from dropping the monster debut album "Badder Than Brooklyn." Why wait, though? The band has teamed up with MetalUnderground.com to premiere the entire album today! Check it out in the player at the bottom.

Decatur has sensed the hunger from metal fans for proper metal with real songs, music built on the foundations of the past to last far into the future. Make no mistake, Decatur are a band that puts the grit into integrity, as guitarist/vocalist Jay ‘Beard’ Sarrazin says, Decatur make “real metal for real metalheads.”

Named after the band's very own Street of Dreams in New York, where the debut album was recorded - Silvercord Studios in Brooklyn - Decatur gets its unique sound by being opened-minded, not just to each other in this band of brothers, but to different genres, not just of metal, but also the blues, rock ‘n’ roll and even pop! Decatur’s criteria if it’s good they can make it better! The band focuses on evolution not devolution. There is no fear of Decatur repeating itself musically; for the band…the world is not enough. Decatur is an intrepid explorer, never playing it safe, always looking for new lands to conquer, and in the process drawing on creative powers the group has never known it possessed. More...

Hanging Garden Releases "Our Dark Design"

Hanging Garden revealed another new song from the upcoming new album "I Am Become." Check out the lyric video for "Our Dark Design" below. "I Am Become" is set to drop on October 27th via Lifeforce Records.

While retaining roots in metal music, Hanging Garden possesses a versatile style of playing, drawing influence and inspiration from music and art. By doing so, the Finns strive for a permanent impression and songs that go beyond music. The conceptual approach anticipates the interaction with the listeners and reaches far below the surface. The band from Helsinki addresses implicit, pure feelings as they calls for the concentration of the listeners. On this basis, Hanging Garden's development continues consistently on the fifth album. “I Am Become” sounds familiar on the one and surprising, yet challenging on the other hand. Again there are well-known guest-vocalists to find on the record - such as Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis) or Niko Kalliojärvi (Amoral, Humavoid).

The band's fifth full-length album "I am Become" focuses thematically on an inexorable aspect of life – as well as it’s antonym: death. The approach to the theme is personal - the feelings of loss, yearning, and cherishing the deeds and words of those no longer here. The songs contain epitaphs and obituaries in the band’s native tongue, to keep the full meaning and connotations of the words intact. The powerful voices of familiar guests vocalists from bands such as Amorphis and Amoral can also be heard on the album, adding to its dark and compelling atmosphere.

The album brings forth an array of tunes both serene and somber, and continues the bands aesthetic play of light and dark, further developing their journey of different soundscapes. More...

Tyfon's Doom To Take The "Emperor's Path"

Tommi Varsala's heavy metal machine Tyfon's Doom will release the new album "Emperor's Path" November 17th via Gates of Hell Records.

Too often, classic or traditional metal bands get caught in the vacuum of relying too much on the past. Not Tyfon's Doom sole member, Tommi Varsala. Varsala's innate ability to create classic, but timely metal rung true throughout previous EP "Yeth Hound," but it's even more prominent on the band's first full-length, "Emperor's Path." The album's 11 songs brim with confidence, not to forget a production job that puts "Yeth Hound" to shame. It's classic metal for the modern age.

Recorded from autumn 2016 to February 2017 primarily in Tampere, Finland in Varsala's own rehearsal studio, "Emperor's Path" marks the first Tyfon's Doom release to feature drummer Cederick Forsberg (Blazon Stone, Rocka Rollas, Cloven Altar) who laid down his parts at Studio 2-takt in Sweden. The production of Emperor's Path also turned out to be another two-man effort, with Varsala recording his parts then sending them to Forsberg to mix and master. This allowed Varsala to focus on what he does best, namely, melodic, surging numbers, stocked with flighty twin-guitar harmonies and his throaty rasp, best described as the denim-wearing cross between Motorhead legend Lemmy Kilmister and Destruction's Schmier.

While songs like album opener "Tyrant's Sceptre" and "Beyond Treason" are molten slabs of pure metal, the brilliant stacked melodies that kick off "The Hidden Hand" and ride throughout "Moonlight" showcase an outfit capable of combining the never-say-die melodies of NWoBHM with the bright melodicism of the band's Finnish homeland.

The album cover (depicted below) was also handled by Varsala himself, who said "I couldn't leave the first impression of an album to anyone else." The artwork expresses a chaotic atmosphere on the "Dead Earth" and the themes and reasons associated with the situation as it's presented in the lyrics. Go even deeper and it consists of the themes presented in the album's songs such as the hole in the sky ("Sea of Life"), the galaxy ("Rising Earth"), the cathedral and the graveyard ("The Hidden Hand") and the black raven ("The Rider From Abandoned Town").

The track list for the album is:

1. Tyrant's Sceptre
2. The Hidden Hand
3. Sea Of Life
4. Beyond Treason
5. Endless War
6. Moonlight
7. Howling Danger
8. The Rider From Abandoned Town
9. Rising Earth
10. Strange Aeons
11. Emperor's Path More...

Nudist Announces Vinyl Version Of Latest Album

Italian sludge act Nudist announced the vinyl re-release of the critically acclaimed album "Bury My Innocence" on November 3rd via Argonauta Records.

Having received a load of positive feedback by media and fans, "Bury My Innocence" will see again the light as limited LP. Preorders run over at this location.

"Bury My Innocence" is a reflection on the complexity and fragility of the human soul flourished by autobiographical notes. Spiritual corruption, hypocrisy, guilt. "Bury my (dirty) innocence" is the scream of a condemned man who is tormented by the guilty feelings and ghosts that emerge from the past. Aware of his faults, he defies in some ways his inquisitors by defining his innocence as a dirty one. Like that of all of us, who can say to have a candid and intimate conscience? We all have a dark spot inside us, but we just hide it even to ourselves. The songs drive the listener through an inner trip, starting from the awareness of the characters faults in “Strengthless” until the drift of the lonely man into the dark waters of his consciousness in “Drift."
