Agarthic Posts New Lyric Video Online

Frontiers Music Srl recently released "The Inner Side," the debut album from Italian symphonic metal band, Agarthic. Check out a lyric video for the song, "Illuminati's Reign," below.

"The Inner Side" was recorded under the direction of producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, etc.).

Based in Northern Italy, Agarthic was founded in 2019 by composer and bassist Mattia Gosetti and vocalist Valeriano De Zordo. The two musicians, tied by a strong friendship, had already worked together several times over the past years, but mostly just some shows and theatrical performances and never a proper band.

"As a big fan of rock and metal music, I've always followed with great enthusiasm the release of albums by labels. I remember reading album booklets when I was just a kid, dreaming to see my name printed on one of those one day... who would have ever imagined that happening with one of the most important labels of today?" says vocalist Valeriano De Zordo. "For several years, I've been really interested in knowing all the ancient legends and mysteries about the forgotten history of our planet, especially the theories about the hollow earth. I've always been fascinated by it. And when this chance to make an album was offered, the task was quite easy....all I had to do was to combine my two major passions and turn all these themes finally into music!" continues De Zordo.

Adds composer and bassist Mattia Gosetti, "My greatest passion is to write musical stories, to create soundtracks for romantic adventures and fascinating places. I am really proud to have been noticed by a successful label like Frontiers Music, in whose roster there are many of the most famous bands in the world. The enthusiasm for the signing of the contract and the collaboration with Aldo Lonobile, an artist that I have always esteemed and admired, has been fundamental for the realization of this symphonic metal concept. I am experiencing an artistic growth that I would have never hoped for and I will never be grateful enough for all this.” More...

Reckless Love Unveils New Music Video

Following a 4-year hiatus and just recently receiving gold awards for their first three albums in Finland, sleaze rockers Reckless Love return with their fifth studio album, "Turborider," on February 25, 2022 through AFM Records.

On their forthcoming output, Reckless Love now re-visit the 80s game worlds. At the center of their sound are 80s themes and the modern dark-speaking world of synth wave, while the band is diving deep into the game world and movie moods of the genre and era. "Turborider" is high-energy, synth wave-infused rock with an undeniable 80’s touch, and will most likely make you forget the world around you with its infectious hooks!

"'Turborider' is the title track for our fifth studio album, not only because it defines the change the band has gone through sonically, but also because lyrically it paints a story about rebirth." Vocalist Olli reveals. "That’s exactly what Reckless Love had to go through in order to make it back at all. The couple of years away from touring and the 6 years away from releasing an album have not been gentle and easy for us.

"The challenge we faced is reflected on the relentless uptempo beat that drives the song forward, and with the heavy guitars they create a monstrous feel that inspired the lyric that feature a fictional character, called Turborider.“ Olli continues. “The character acts as a simple metaphor for the bands music and expression. Gone to hell and back, just to find out that hell has become a part of her, the 'Turborider' sets out to conquer. ”More electric than before, a rotten hybrid to the core”. Even though, 'Turborider' is definitively on the heavier side of Reckless Love, this tune doesn’t fail to deliver catchy melodies. The song was written very quickly with our producer Joonas ”Synthinen” Parkkonen. The vision was clear as day from the get-go. We set out to write an opening track for the album and all we knew was that we wanted it to be like a kick in the stomach, or a punch in the jaw – or better yet, both. When Pepe ripped into the opening riff and Joonas followed with his synths, we had the first demo of the song done in approximately 15-20min. When Joonas was saving the file on his laptop, he asked me if I had already come up with a title for the song. I didn’t even think as the sound seemed to come out of my mouth by itself – Turborider." Axel Rudi Pell Reveals New Album Details

Eagerly awaited by their fans, delivered on schedule by the ARP band: April 15 will see the arrival of guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader Axel Rudi Pell’s new album, "Lost XXIII." It consists of ten brand-new songs (plus intro) and will be available as a digipak, CD, double vinyl album, strictly limited box set, and for digital download.

"Lost XXIII" is Pell’s 21st studio recording and - like all previous albums in his 33-year solo career - will be out on Steamhammer/SPV.

The first lead single, "Survive", will be released in the physical and digital stores on February 18 - a deeply melodic hard rock number featuring a guitar riff characteristic of Pell and the kind of superb melody that we’ve come to expect from Pell: “I’m confident that my fans will get exactly the kind of song they’ve been waiting for. ‘Survive’ is typical of the ARP band, carried by the fantastic voice of our vocalist Johnny Gioeli.”

Speaking of which: the ARP band mark 2022 continues to consist of Johnny Gioeli, bassist Volker Krawczak, keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg and drummer Bobby Rondinelli (ex- Rainbow), a perfectly oiled hard rock machine that never fails to deliver Pell’s compositions outstandingly and at the same time enhance them with each musician’s own trademarks.

The same applies to the second single, "Down On The Streets", scheduled for release on March 25. "Thin Lizzy could have had a finger in that particular pie," Pell explains, tongue-in-cheek, adding: "The lyric is about tough life on the streets."

"Lost XXIII" was produced by Axel Rudi Pell, mixed by Tommy Geiger, mastered by Ulf Horbelt, and the mysterious cover artwork was once again designed by Thomas Ewerhard (Gotthard, Edguy, Sons Of Apollo, among others). The ARP band will embark on another major tour in spring and autumn 2022. More...

Tungsten To Release New Album In June

Swedish symphonic metal quartet Tungsten have released their new single "Come This Way," taken from their third album, "Bliss," due for release 17th June via Arising Empire. You can check out the music video below.

The catchy, melodic and mid-tempo song, 'Come This Way', incorporates synths and stomping heaviness. The accompanying music video, directed in Stockholm by Ted Lindén, uses spooky visuals to make for a stark contrast. On the new single, vocalist Mike Andersson comments:

"It’s also a bit different to the rest of the album but, on the other side, all songs are quite different to each other in a nice way".

The quartet's third offering is their heaviest and darkest album to date, with the typical ingredients that define Tungsten's music also breaking new ground and exploring fresh territories. The hooklines are stronger and more dynamic, with lyrics taking a darker turn whilst still focusing on relatable themes. Andersson continues:

"It all came naturally. Creating and recording this album truly put us in touch with the feeling of bliss. Nick and Karl, who wrote the music, have really shown their skills and musical talents. Bliss explores new musical ideas but is still based in the genre that we established in the band from the beginning." More...
