Swiss extreme metal legends Samael (whose frontman Vorph was recently interviewed here,) has posted a new video online for the song, "Rite Of Renewal." Speaking about the video, the band stated:
"This is the first song from 'Hegemony' that we presented live and it became an instant classic. The video was shot in Les Docks in Lausanne during the first show that followed the release of 'Hegemony,' it was latter edited by Sergey Ulyanov who previously worked on other visuals for us. The song itself is a mid/up tempo track that shows a more technical side of our music. The dynamic is kept by altering fast and dense parts with open and heavy ones until the grand final with super heavy riffs and apocalyptic keyboard parts. What better title for a song than 'Rite of Renewal' to start a new year? 2018 here we go!" More...

On November 9, 2016, Ministry's Al Jourgensen woke up and said, "It's time to make a f*cking album."
When six-time Grammy-nominated Jourgensen had released the final album of his blistering Bush-era trilogy - Houses of the Mole, Rio Grande Blood, and The Last Sucker - where he just railled against George Dubya, he realized that it's not about the candidate. "I always knew this, but on that album it really hit home that we're all suckers."
With the upcoming, politically-charged "AmeriKKKant," he wanted to focus on why we would elect someone like Donald Trump, rather than have the songs be about the current administration. "That's more interesting than who the fuck's in charge," he adds, "Even the ruling class overlords don't know who's in charge. As a society, we're not pulling our weight. Our value and morality systems are completely out the window, it's become all about a monetary system, what every action is based on. You make bad mistakes as a human being when you're chasing the green dragon, the almighty dollar. When that's the motivating factor in our actions, we end up with someone like Trump. And that's what I wanted to comment on with this record." More...

Every week on Metal Underground, we receive stories of life on the road from metal bands all over the world. This week, Warraxe, lead vocalist of eclectic Canadian group Nordheim shares a tale of Dungeons & Dragons with some surprising twists!
"So there was that time when we were going to Toronto... When we're driving to a venue, we usually play D&D in the tour van all ride long, yeah I know it's sounds geek as fuck but wait for it...
"We also have a habit of putting a big flashy sing with stupid shit written all over it so we can see the reaction of people driving by and it's always a good time. So this time we wrote on it : Show us your tits we're rockstars.
"We didn't know what to expect, we got lots of smiles, people laughing, angry old ladies... typical stuff. So we kept on playing D&D while keeping an eye on cars passing by, the occasional manboobs you know... We had a good laugh at the first hairy ass that we saw but things got cool when we saw a super classy Mercedes pass by. I don't know who she was or where she was going but this girl wasn't shy at all. She had I would say something like 36 DD at least and they where exactly how they look in porn movies, minus the jizz. Super tanned, gigantic shades and expensif clothing, the perfect stripper kit. We had a good laugh and threw her the horns and kept playing D&D feeling a little less geeky. Nothing like a big pair of dice to spice a game up hahahahaha."
Nordheim's latest studio album, "RapThor," is available now through Maple Metal Records.

German heavy metal legend Doro has announced that she will release a new studio album on August 3rd through Nuclear Blast Records. Speaking about the album, Doro Pesch stated:
"The writing process of the album is complete and we're currently finalising the mixing. This new record is going to be a diverse album with many fast songs and countless metal anthems. To be honest, I believe that one of these songs could become the next 'All We Are'! The first song that I wrote for the new album is a song dedicated to Lemmy. It's called 'Living Life To The Fullest'!"
More details, including the title, artwork and tracklisting will be revealed once they become available.
