Mors Subita Splits With Vocalist Antti "Hape" Haapsamo

Finland's Mors Subita has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band's vocalist:

"With heavy hearts Mors Subita announces the departure of lead singer Antti 'Hape' Haapsamo. We are all sad to see this day coming although it has been somewhat expected. Even though the situation is hard for us all Mors Subita as a band is supporting Hape with his decision.

"Naturally, Hape will fulfill his duties 'till the end and will be performing his last show as Mors Subita singer at Mors Subita supporting Ensiferum @ Club Teatria / Oulu 26.4.2013. Be sure to catch final glimpse of this handsome fucker! "

Antti also comments:

"Greetings my friends and enemies, Mors Subita fans and cooperation partners. Sit down and take your medicine bottle in your hand. With a heavy heart, I hereby declare that it is time for me to step out of Mors Subita line-up and let this train to proceed without me. This decision is a result of the long-term outcome, and certainly not easy one for me in any form. We 'divorce' as friends and in good spirit. Naturally I will give my full support to the band now and in the future and I’ll stay in Mors Subita background forces as influencing power. After all, this is my own child which I do not wish anything bad to happen. I have struggled some time with a sense of rejection, but I feel really more like letting the child to have its freedom. I believe that the band will find a new excellent singer, who can be a part of a great adventure. In the civilian side, I will continue being friend of the band's current, past, and possibly future members. Each one so far, the band members, I have only good things to say.

"The reasons for my decision are mostly personal and could be summarized as follows: Lack of time for the band due the other areas of my life, which has led to a lack of inspiration, and that all turns stressful layup for me. When I do not feel things more enjoyable and I feel rather that I am delaying the development of the band, it's time to step aside.

"I want to thank especially Mors Subita fans. Gigs have had a great atmosphere, which I will be missing. You have been great! Thanks from my part also to all Mors Subita cooperation partners over all these years. Things have worked out fine with you and it’s been great time. I will continue around music in the way or/and other at least with my job."
