Mongrel Announces Lineup Changes and Posts New Song, "Bored to Death," Online

Boston's Mongrel has recently released their new single, entitled "Bored to Death," on their myspace profile. The song comes off their upcoming album "This Means War." The band has also issued the following update regarding their current lineup:

"CHANGES IN THE BAND: as you might have seen on the myspace/facebook, or various music news sites online - over the past couple of weeks we had a couple of line-up changes as Mongrel parted ways with our drummer Ed, and Drew announced his departure from the band. Mongrel is alive and well however and we will continue on with a new singer and drummer. while there are no announcements to be made at this point as to new members of the band, we will let you know as soon as there is an update on the matter. for the upcoming shows we will be joined by various friends sitting in on drums, and our friend J'sin Lynch (ex-48 Rooms/The Falted) on vocals."

Upcoming Mongrel shows are as follows:

Thursday, April 22nd - The Chop Shop in Seabrook, NH - 18+ show, 8pm. Adam will be doing an acoustic set with guest vocalist J'sin Lynch. also performing will be our friends Mindset-X.

Sunday, April 25th - The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA - ALL AGES - 1-5pm, $10. MONGREL (ft. J'sin Lynch on vocals, Renee Solano on drums, and a rare guest appearance by original Mongrel vocalist - Matt "Death" Rowe), Evil Streaks (ft Rev from Mongrel and Myra formerly of Ghouls Night Out), 1476 , and one more band tba

Saturday, May 1st - Tammany Hall in Worcester, MA - ALL AGES - 12noon til 6pm, $10. Adam's bday bash featuring MONGREL, Scarecrow Hill, Affliction, Fuel of War (ex-Skulltoboggan), Broken Neck Lullaby, Q, and Tung.

Saturday, May 8th - Anchor's Up in Haverhill, MA - ALL AGES - 6-10pm, $10. MONGREL, with Slackjaw (from Albany NY), Tell It To The Dead, Jimi Half-Dead & The Die-Alongs, and more.
