Amaranthe Posts New Report From Kamelot Tour

Amaranthe has posted another tour blog online through Crank It Up about their tour dates with Kamelot:

"Hey folks! Olof here again with our second and final tour blog, from the Scandinavian leg of the Kamelot tour! Recently got back home, and what can I say, what a tour! To continue where we left off in the first blog; Tampere was great, very receptive audience, and there were also some dedicated Kamelot/Amaranthe fans who attended the Helsinki show who also showed up for this gig - you guys kick ass, you know who you are! To celebrate another great show, we headed downtown, to a cozy bar, where we ended up hanging out with a ladies' floor hockey team who had just won the Finnish championship, so the mood was great!

"After another really weird trip on the finlandsfärja (boat from/to Finland/Sweden), with lots of strange and crazy people, plus a long drive from Stockholm to Oslo, we found ourselves in the norwegian capital! We all had a pretty chill off day, walking around in Oslo and later checking out the Kamelot show, at the magnificent Sentrum Scene - while feeling pretty damn excited about playing there the day after. If you haven't seen a Kamelot show at that venue, then you have no idea.

"Saturday, and last day of the tour was surely a day of great excitement - personally I have been wanting to play the Sentrum Scene for quite a while, and even though we had some minor trouble with some time pressure, from the point when we entered the stage it was pure magic! The Oslo crowd was far and away the best on the tour, and I felt we nailed a really good flow in our show. The good people of Oslo had even made a large Amaranthe-banner, which was flown from the second floor in the audience! Cheers to you guys, you are goddamn awesome! Two really cool support bands (and cool guys too), Triosphere and Fatal impact delivered great shows, and Kamelot completely destroyed! We celebrated the phenomenal gig with some champagne, and the cool guys from Dimmu Borgir came out to our small dressing room for a few beers. After signing autographs and hanging out with some of the coolest fans/people ever, some of us tagged along with the Kamelot tour bus back to Gothenburg. 9.30 in the morning it was time to say our farewells, and for me to crash into bed, totally exhausted.

"A huge HUGE thanks to the Kamelot guys for bringing us on this trip, words can't express how grateful we are for that, and everything else you've done for us! We will never forget that! Also a big big thanks to Leave's Eyes, the tour crew and all the great Kamelot/Amaranthe fans we met on the road - see you all SOON!"
