Josh Homme Recorded Yelling At Crowd Member For "Throwing Shit" At Him
Josh Homme, vocalist for Queens of the Stone Age, was filmed yelling and throwing an object at someone in the crowd at the Norwegian Wood festival in Oslo, Norway. The incidient was an apparent retaliation because the person in the crowd threw something at Homme before the video started. The video can be viewed below.

This guy is retarded! So he makes fun of the kid for doing that, and then he goes and does it to him? Real mature. So much for "going with the flow" (QOTSA song). Another thing why would he say that he would "butt f***" someone in front of all their friends. And then he calls them a fagot. This guy is like a angry fat kid in high school, what's with the insults from grammar school? He probably heard some kids yelling it and thought it was cool. Moron!

When I saw them in Christchurch this year Homme stopped mid song after someone threw a shoe at him, preceding to (hilariously) abuse him for a few minutes. Had the whole crowd laughing - then they in rockstar fashion burst back into the song like nothing had happen. Great show, gave Muse a run for their money.

I actually only picked it up yesterday and am listening to it for the first time now. I've actually got a backlog of other reviews to finish (seeing as I've just finished exams and get a break now) but I thought I'd leave the review to RememberMetal? or Psythe as they're the resident Opeth experts here :P I'm more of a general fan - wouldn't want to upset any of the many pious Opeth fans round here either :P

^ Although now that I think about it, I'd really like to see RememberMetal?, Psythe, AND Cynic all write reviews of it also. There are so many different ways this album could be interpreted, and I'd love to hear what they thought of it. I could easily see one Opeth fan absolutely loving it and another completely hating it, so having several Opeth fanatics and a "general fan" (as Cynic describes himself) all giving their point of view would give a more rounded view and let people make a more informed decision before deciding to pick it up or not.
Homme always pulls this sh**. It's funny, but he always finds someone in the crowd, calls them out, and calls them d***-less. I've seen em twice and both times he got in a fight with someone in the crowd. I think it would be sweet if the security let someone go up on stage and take a shot at him

I find myself feeling like a bit of a hypocrite for hating on Bruce d***inson for calling out fans for smoking while getting a giggle from Josh Hommes childish tirade...
One is a direct attack on a performer while the other is an indirect consequence of behavior. I still find Homme's more amuzing and less condescending for some reason even though he flies off the chain, where as Bruce was reletively lowkey about it.
As for the offtopic--'Watershed'. I love it. Possibly the band's most challenging album...But not in the way most metal albums are considered "challenging"... It's been since 'Damnation' where I had to puzzle over an Opeth album and not adore it instantly. Two weeks of regular listening and I'm still making discoveries.
I don't expect to hold it as highly as 'Still Life' and 'Blackwater' but I'm not let down in the least.
Album of the year contender.
i think josh "homo" should get sued for assault. there was no video of the kid throwing anything at him. but there is video of him throwing something at the kid.

I find myself deeply in love with Watershed, RM?. I must admit... I can close my eyes, lay down and enjoy it. Opeth has a certain peacefulness in the way they play... I don't find myself closing my eyes and acting as if things are in perfect harmony whilst listening to many death metal bands, but Opeth can simply do things that other bands cannot.
Definitely my top contender for album of the year.
This kinda goes back to the whole Korn-getting-sued-by-inexperienced-fangoer thing. I think the kid deserved it. I'd have knocked him the f*** out! Vince Neil and Axl Rose can beat people up in the middle of a set, so why can't a decent musician like Homme do the same? lol
I agree with you Crawford - the artist is not there to be verbally abused..the band is there to perform their music. I would not take kindly to some dumba$$ throwing "sh1t", like shoes, or bottles, at me while I am on stage. If you don't like the music - just boo or something. Hell, even walk away from the show.
It ain't the first time he's said sh*t like this. On their live cd "Over the years and through the woods" some dude was throwin stuff at him and he pointed the kid out and called him a c*ck smoker and said if anyone see's him after the show say "High c*ck smoker, eat a bag of d***s." Then kept goin with the show. You deserve that if yer throw sh*t on stage.

Wow, thats lead singer disorder in full swing...Homme reverts to highschool-level insults pretty fast...Medicated and sick and in front of a mostly adoring crowd can do that I suppose.
