SYSTEM OF A DOWN have been confirmed as one of the performers at the MTV Europe Music Awards, set to be held on November 3 at the Atlantic Pavilion in Lisbon, Portugal. They will join AKON, COLDPLAY, FOO FIGHTERS, GREEN DAY, ROBBIE WILLIAMS and THE BLACK EYED PEAS at the live ceremony, to be hosted by the Sacha Baron Cohen character "Borat." All MTV Europe Music Awards categories will be voted for online by MTV's audiences, apart from "Best Video" and the "Free Your Mind" award, which will be chosen by MTV. Additionally, viewers can vote for the "Best Song" category via WAP.

For more information, and to vote, go to mtvema.com.

In other news, SYSTEM OF A DOWN's e-card for their upcoming album, "Hypnotize", can be accessed here. It features an exclusive sneak peek at the "Hypnotize" DualDisc, the first single, "Hypnotize", a "Downloads" page that features new buddy icons, wall papers, a screensaver along with a send-to-a-friend and IM-to-a-friend feature.

As previously reported, American Recordings/Columbia will release two versions of "Hypnotize", SYSTEM OF A DOWN's fifth studio album, on November 22. Both the CD and DualDisc versions feature 12 new songs as well as artwork by Vartan Malakian, father of SYSTEM OF A DOWN's guitarist/singer Daron. The packaging for "Hypnotize" is specially designed to physically join "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" together, forming one unified product with continuous artwork. Additionally, the DualDisc edition will contain exclusive behind-the-scenes footage showing the making of both records.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN filmed performance footage for their video for "Hypnotize"'s title track on September 28 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI.

Well, techincally, Deffering to the biblical allusions of christian ellusion in the present world of today, refering to those biblical allusions, system of a down is going to perform at the European Music Video awards, and therefore, the number 3 is going to take over the world, because it is everywhere.
I could not help but notice the startling fact that I have posted three posts on the internet before this one. Is this just mere coincidence? I think not. This is yet another addition to the uncanny phenominon of the appearance of the powers of 3 which are henceforth appearing at unprecedented rates. The xbox 360 is a series of 3 digits, all multiples of 3, (excluding 0) and their sum equals 9, also a multiple of 3. Additionally, post 707 is also a series of 3 digits, which when added equal 14, which is 5 more than the multiple of 3 times 3. Yet this prevelance of the letter 3 does not stop there. In World War II, there was the "Big 3," Franklin, Stalin, and Churchill, but even more startilingly, is the fact of the number that occurs after the number 2; 3. Yes, that is correct. What will come after WWII? WWIII. This appearance of the number 3 culminates into a most frightening scare at the consideration that the word Transformers is 3 syllables, and that the motto "Transformers, robots in disguise," is 3 words when you add 3 more words and subtract 2. According to this evidence, the chanse of the number 3 taking over the world is most possibly possible in the nearly possible future. We are all DOOMED.

p.s.: Additionally, I could not help but notice that the word "all" is 3 letters. Coincidence? I Think not. OMFG "I THINK NOT" IS 3 WORDS!!!! W'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!! OMEFFGEEE "DIE" IS 3 LETTERS OMFG!!!!!!!!!

the thing is they wrote and recorded all the songs at once, and they were prolonging the release of hypnotize. so instead of releasing a cd that was like 30 songs or something, they released a two part cd to make it easier and make it so they had another brand new cd for fans...

yep. those other bands dont work well with SOAD. SOAD is ok, not my favorite, but my god! if there's one thing i notice on this site, its that no one can keep an open mind and try listening to new stuff. if its not the old stuff they like then they call it sh*t. just try listening to it before you bring it down.

and back to post #6: wow . . . that was, um, interesting . . .

I agree with 'endless666'! SOAD are a bunch of butt rockers!! Ozzy would have bitten their heads off back in his day. I DON'T hope they go to hell though. I don't want to have to kick their asses when I get there one day!
Regarding post 6... I think 'Bold as Love' just had a brain-fart.

Bold as love, Lay off the coke man, or the lsd or whatever. It's refreshing to here a band like SOAD on the radio instead of green day 20 times a day. Or all the other bands that sound the same. At least they are doing something a little different.
