Korpiklaani Gearing Up For Festival Season And Asian Touring

The Finnish folk metal superstars from Korpiklaani have been touring extensively around Russia and their homeland recently. Having just recovered from these enormous trips, the band with singer Jonne Järvelä today announces a Japanese / Chinese tour for September.

But before that, the Finns will will be playing a host of festival gigs and releasing a live DVD, which is due out in August. All dates can be found below. Jonne commented:

"We've had our longest gig break in 12 years. Our break was 3 months long, but I've been busy with mixing the first Korpiklaani DVD, which will come out in August plus setting up an upcoming Jonne 'solo album' titled 'Kallohonka.'

"It'll be great to get back on the road after all of these projects, and to Japan after so many years away. It was also a great surprise to get a chance to play some shows in China on the same trip! But first we have several summer festivals to play around the world, so see you there... somewhere. ;-)"
