70000 Tons of Metal - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

From Inside Covers "Heavy" By Linkin Park

A few weeks back Linkin Park released the very poorly named "Heavy," which was about as far from its namesake as a song can get. U.K. alternative metal outfit From Inside has now released a cover version that gets the track more towards what its name would imply.

The band says, “Linkin Park is without the doubt the band that defines our childhood. When we first heard their new song, 'Heavy,' we really wanted to relate to it, but without those killer distorted guitars, Mr. Hahn’s scratching, or Mike Shinoda’s rapping, it just wasn’t the Linkin Park that has inspired us so much in our lives.

"We felt compelled to write a tribute to the band that has released those lives changing album - 'Hybrid Theory' and 'Meteora,' So we all agreed to take it upon ourselves to head straight into the studio and put our own spin on how we feel 'Heavy' could have sounded if they had approached it in the same vein as their earlier album. We simply wanted to put the heavy side back into the Linkin Park sound.”
